Perhaps you're right. I didn't have to sent a British birth certificate, since my Irish passport was considered proof of my identity/nationality. The British form also didn't ask when I entered to the UK, it was more concerned with what I was doing at the time of application (i.e. which right I was ...

Well I'm a British/Irish citizen who has never lived in Ireland and my partner got his RC a couple of weeks ago... I never actually told them I'm a British citizen, do they even bother to check? Obviously someone who is claiming benefits rings all sorts of alarm bells. Hilariously, my student loans ...

The nightmare is finally over for us, as of today! Note, we first submitted our application, without any errors in March.. It was then returned to us (landing on our door step 1 month late due to the Royal Mail) asking for health insurance, even though we'd already included it. We then resubmitted t...

Finally, received RC on Monday dated 1st September, issued 12 days before the end of the six months and all documents back. We feel truly blessed and all weight on our shoulder depleted. Best wishes to everyone! Congratulations! Did you receive it as a sticker in your passport or as a piece of paper?

It seems to be a trend for those who requested their passports back before the application was completed as far as I can see..

Congratulations Gabrielle!

Did you receive the RC inside the passport as a sticker? I do NOT want a stand alone document, I can only begin to imagine the hassle it will cause in third countries when trying to fly back to the UK.. Who's going to trust a piece of paper?

Did anyone cancel their private medical insurance after receiving the certificate and sending it off to the HO? Are the HO able to check whether the health insurance is still valid/running?

My timeline so far.. Applied in March.. Our application was rejected due to "lack of health insurance" - interesting considering we had included a private insurance health certificate! To make matters worse, Royal Mail couldn't manage to deliver it (no problems with the address or anything) so it wa...

An update on my situation.. Well I finally got our application back after it had been sent to the wrong address, back to the HO, and then back to us again, more than a month after it had been considered invalid.. Invalid.. The reason? As a student, I have to provide evidence of comprehensive health ...

Hello,

Sent our application on March 17th and have yet to receive a certificate of application, is this normal? Looking at the last few pages, it seems that most people got letters within a few weeks, but it's now been well over a month for us. Starting to get worried.
