Ask the employer to state the gross and net for each month of the duration. That would make it easy for case worker to tally with bank statement. No reason why employer sohuld not give it if you have been paid accordingly

the link given by sushdmehta says that for Tier 2 it is applicable after 6th Jan 2010 so should not be applicable to you if you are on Tier 2 from Nov 2009

not sure what is your confusion is. Have you gone through the guidelines? stamped payslips or letter from employer and stamped/original bank statements or letter from bank are enough. The bank statements will always show net and is acceptable.

Hi Layman, However, when making calculations, the caseworker has definitely used different exchange rates. I believe this method is quite prominently worked out in other threads on this forum. I believe the P60s do not show any allowances on which dispensation is being claimed so cannot know if the gross on CoS has been paid or not. Will have to check

spot on ArgieBee. I am sure my employer does the same. What should be done in such case? Apart from the dispensation, first 52 weeks NI contribution is also discounted but the employer never mentions this as well :x

I had thought about doing this since the salary components are not necessarily from the same month always. For eg some get quarterly variable pay, so the first month could get last quarter's variable.

But then, keep things simple if you can 8)

well, if te reason has been made very clear in the rejection letter, whats the confusion now? Do not apply uplift for earnings during UK period. Better safe than sorry would be the mantra.

Interesing question. Know of a case where a person has come on Tier 1 but still receives similar allowances as a Tier 2 ICT employee. dont know how the 2 year dispensation clause works for the different visa categories though.
