Did you call the UKBA helpline to confirm if the apptmt is really canceled and if yes, why it was canceled? For the apptmt close to the visa expiry, that should not be a problem as long as you have all the required documentation. Result might be delayed due to whatever reasons(IT issues, verificatio...

Thanks ups. I have read the sticky before.

The confusion is reading in conjunction with Clause 47 of the guidance and the way main applicant + dependants applications can be made to satisfy the criteria with just £900/£600(for > 12 months) or £1800 (for < 12 months) with the same set of statements.

Having read the Immigration Rules here , Appendix E - clause l says (l) Where the application is one of a number of applications made at the same time as a partner or child of a Relevant Points Based System Migrant (as set out in paragraphs 319A and 319F) each applicant, including the Relevant Point...

LP, I do not agree. We should have continued here ; I have copied the following from one of my responses here with some modifications/additions Clause 46 of the guidance document says, If the same Tier 1 Migrant and his family had been present in the UK for two years, they would require evidence tha...

However, paragraphs 43 and 46 do refer to applications made separately from the PBS migrant and those don't ask for the PBS migrant to provide proof of maintenance in addition to the applicant. The clause 47 says 'there must still be enough funds to support each member of the family ' which suggest...

Just to be clear, how does one interpret Clause 47 of the policy guidance then? 47. If a family member applies separately from the Tier 1 Migrant, there must still be enough funds to support each member of the family. Therefore in the example above, if the family has a third child, the main applican...

I had applied a week before my visa was due to expire and had successfully done what you are planning to do.

See this for my rationale and why it is not so much of a risk, especially if you have a straightforward application.

Please post the exact wordings of the rejection letter(omitting out any personal references).

How many dependants had applied?
How much funds had you shown for the maintenance requirement?
What had you mentioned regarding maintenance funds in the cover letter(if given with application)?

@msk1977 - If you are applying by PEO, apply as soon as you have the reference number for your application; or if you can wait, till you receive your BRP(which is typically 3-4 days after the PEO appilcation for straight forward applciations)

Makes perfect sense. I had done the same. Also since the main applicant would have got extension, the dependants application will be processed much quicker than applying for both through post. So time wise as well the overall process for both applicants should take less time
