Re: Passport refused - uncancelled passport in maiden name

I would like to share my experience about having married name in the BP with an uncancelled foreign passport in maiden name. I didn't have to cancel my foreign passport nor surrender my foreign citizenship. I just explained that it is not allowed by my country's law to change my name in my foreign p...

Re: Passport refused - uncancelled passport in maiden name

Thanks Mimimar26 for the suggestion. It will be time and money consuming to apply for the Home Office travel document.

I guess I will just apply for BP using my maiden name then change it to my married after one or two years later. I have waited for 6 years I can wait for a bit longer.

Re: Passport refused - uncancelled passport in maiden name

Hi guys, I'm going to apply for naturalisation in about 2 weeks. As many of you in this topic I would like to use my married name in the British passport. Cancelling my foreign passport or changing the name in my foreign passport is not an option for me. What I understand so far is that the HMPO wil...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Thx ninjaman.

Just so you know my PR was issued on 9 November. I called on 11/11 and was told my application was still in progress. I called again on 14/11 and was told my PR was sent on 12/11. I guess the application status will be under consideration until the PR is sent out.

I applied on Sept 1 and still waiting. When did you ask for your passport back? Did you include a pre paid special envelope? And did they use it to send your passport back?

I don't know the details about applying for family permit -- but I think you can be still inside UK while your partner is applying -- but do prove that you are exercising treaty rights in the UK and your partner is joining you. I don't know if your partner is eligible to apply for this in France bu...

I really don't know what to do now. Today my wife (EU citizen) called the Home Office regarding my EEA2 application.
