Re: Help>Made redundant just before applying for ILR

I think for T2 ILR, there is a requirement to provide letter from employer that your services are still required.

Professional Bachelor Degree == Academic Qualification?

Hi, To add to umpteen queries for meeting English language requirement with PBS calculator output, can we have some light on this: Engineering qualifications come into 'Professional' degree even with PBS. The requirement https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/42587...

Re: UK Naric Letter-Important

Thanks. May be exact wording of reply from home office will help to clarify this. I think it was first in July 2012 that English language requirement was introduced and made effective from October 2013. May be this is what is referred to in reply.

Congrats. Can you please expand on rules prior to July 2012? Does it mean pbs calculator isn't valid now?

Re: UK Naric Letter-Important

Looking further into this, it kind of appears that requirement is likely for 'equivalence certificate'. Refer https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english It says you will need original certificate and 1 of following: -PBS printout showing both 'equivalence' and 'English level' -NARIC equi...

Re: UK Naric Letter-Important

You may also want to check the thread below, where the same has been confirmed by the settlement ops team. As suggested I would write to them and get personal confirmation which you can then present to them. http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/english-qualification-in-04-201...

Re: UK Naric Letter-Important

Did your wife use same degree for meeting English language requirements in past? I would reply to this letter with reference to UKVI guidelines saying PBS calculator printout would suffice and insist that degree with PBS calculator output meets KOLL requirements. If same degree was used in past, tha...

Re: UK Naric Letter-Important

confusing... The letter says NARIC has confirmed and then goes on to ask for letter from NARIC. The autoreply in post above also confirms that a PBS calculator printout with 10 points should suffice. I think you can go back with the reply from UKVI in post above and clarify that KOLL requirements ar...

This has been discussed in detail earlier around April 6th if you run a search. It seems, we can use PBS calculator printout from Tier 2 for English requirement purposes.

LIUKT Test Centre Info Needed

Hello,

To those who have done LIUKT in Slough, do they have locker or holding facility for your Mobile Phones, study material etc? I don't think those will be allowed in test rooms.

Thanks,

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

Guys I called up the UKVI call centre number at 0300 123 2253 just now. I was told the following: * if we have booked our appointment before 6 April 2015 then we can use the old version (10 / 14) and supply documents for English requirements mentioned in that version (PBS print out + original degre...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

You are right mate that there hasn't been any update in the guidelines but it's just it has become difficult to decide what to fill up in the form. According to form it looks like if you've not studied in UK then either you need to have the letter from UK NARIC OR You need to do the English B1 test...

Re: English Qualification in 04/2015 Set(O) form

The guidance doesn't seem to have any update in this regard https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -in-the-uk
It says (pg 32), printout from PBS calculator can be accepted, but now, since there isn't any calculator for Tier 1, lets see how will this work out.

Thanks. Can someone with middle name confirm how does it look like in BRP? I know this is being too cynical but there isn't dearth of posts on net about people being turned away for minor discrepancies.

Names query in LIUKT Booking

Hello, Say my name is Xx Yy Zz. My passport says Xx Yy as Forenames and Zz as last name. I reckon I always used Xx Yy as my first names and never used middle name in all the forms I ever filled. While booking LIUKT, it asks for ‘Last Name’, ‘First Names’ and ‘Middle Name’ with a bold warning “make s...
