i called them yesterday, the person i spoke to seemd more confused than i was :) when i first asked if biometrics are required for EEA2 he said yes. then i asked if he is sure about that and he started checking something and eventually said No.

Thank you for your answer, that article really confused me, as i thought that biometrics for family permits were compulsory already, so there is no change to that category. And from reading it I understood that they referring to EEA2 and EEA4 applicants…. :roll: hmmmm

I was looking at EEA2 and EEA4 forms on UKBA web-site - they havent updated them to say that biometrics are now required...

So that article definitely says that all family members of EEA are now required to give biometrics next time they apply for any residence permit?

You wouldn't apply for ILR but rather for PR = permanent residence. There is no biometrics for that type of application. Said I would post back upon returning from hols: Arrived with my husband at Heathrow terminal 1 this eve and went on the UK/EU passport queue. The IO saw my non-EU passport and asked for a landing card and I said I had a RC. He took both our passports, inspected my RC and went off to a back office....
