EU Citizen with no job

Hi,

Does an EU citizen who has lived in the UK for many years but not worked most of the time (due to motherhood and family reasons) can apply for an EU residency card or permanent residency?

Thanks

Genuine Mistake

Hi, One of my relatives applied for Tier 4 child today. She submitted a parent consent letter. She got the template from her friends and then adjusted it. Now she found out that on one part, the passport number is not correct and it is actually her friend's passport number. The passport number is co...

Tier 4 Child Age

Dear All, one of my relatives is going to apply for Tier 4 child. The issue is that she is now under 18 (actually 17 years and 10 months old) but she will be over 18 at the time of course start date. She is worried that they may refuse her on that basis. I could not find anywhere on the rules that w...

Appendix FM Self-Employment

Hi, I am confused in regard to Appendix FM requirements for self-employed. It is stated that the application could use income from their self-employment. What does income mean here? It means the applicant's share of business income or the salary he has withdrawn from the business? for example, if ap...

Confusion

Hi, there is a confusing point on Tier 1 E guidance and relevant immigration rules. In the part related to the registration as a self employed or director it says: "On a date no earlier than three months prior to the date of application" It is a very confusing. it means that for extension or ILR, ap...

Re: ILR Accelerated Route

thank you for your email. As you know there is no way to contact HO and their contact centres are not reliable. As I checked there is no provision in the rules that prohibit using this route during the second of further grants of leave so I assume it is possible.

Any comment would be appreciated.

ILR Accelerated Route

Dear All,

to use accelerated route (10 jobs creation), applicant should do it during the initial grant of leave or they can do it in the extension period? Applicant was not in the UK most of the time during the initial grant and it is the reason that she wants to use this route.

Thanks

Re: Should I apply for PBS dependent extension or FLR(M)?

Thank you, i got it wrong. Part 284 is for old applications and the new ones should be done under Appendix FM which does not prohibit PBS dependents. Am I right?

Re: Should I apply for PBS dependent extension or FLR(M)?

I have a strange question. There are plenty of questions on the forum about applying for FLR(M) or PBS dependent but it seems according to 284 (i)(c) it is impossible for a PBS dependent to switch to FLR(M). Am I right?

Thanks

Re: Bank Letter Date

thanks but it is not like that, he applied on say 19th dec and got the letter on 21st dec! It is due to their new weird application system in which application date is not the date you go to visa centre (what used to be) but the date you submit your application online. so we happen to have a scenari...

Tier 1 Graduate entrepreneur to Tier 1 E

Guidance clearly says no, but someone said without prove of bu...

Re: Police Registration

Thank you.

I myself dont see it as a big issue as according to the immigration rules failure to register without reasonable excuse is a crime. I had a good excuse as I left the country very quickly.

However, I want to be sure and so appreciate any comment.

Police Registration

Dear All, I am going to apply for British Citizenship in March. As per the new requirements, there should not be any evasion of immigration control in the last 10 years. I came to the UK in 2008 on a student visa but I left the UK in couple of days due to personal matters. I was required to register...

Re: Receive the visa while in the UK

Yes she now has a 33 months visa. I guess the new rules were not in force when she applied for the visa as she did not receive any accompanying letter about how to collect the BRP.

I read somewhere that the new rules started to roll out from end of July 2015 whereas my friend applied in June 2015.

Yes its a hassle but citizenship is a priviledge and not a right. Being unemployed is not a sign of bad character because employment is not a requirement to be...

Re: New AN Form

Again it is just kind of hassle for applicants. Caseworker could contact HMRC himself. They charge over £1,000 and do not bother themselves to give a call?

And what if I did not work for periods of time? It is sign of a bad character?
