Cash in Hand Income

Hi, I've seen couple of thread related to the refusal of the application as the sponsor's cash incomes were not banked. However, what is the situation for a self-employed person such as taxi driver? I found it from the Appendix FM 1.7: Self-employed income can be cash-in-hand if the correct tax is p...

Re: spouse visa self - assessment evidence

I know this is an old thread but given the following paragraph, is it possible for a self-employed to use tax returns and financial accounts to reflect the income? Self-employed income can be cash-in-hand if the correct tax is paid. In line with paragraph 3.1.5 of this guidance, it would generally b...

Re: Reapply or Appeal

I have another question: what does HO mean by unaudited accounts? Is a profit/loss statement and a letter from the accountant that the business is exempted from audit fine or it should include balance sheet?

So you prefer appeal. It takes couple of months although. But does she have any chance in a fresh application?

Reapply or Appeal

Hi, One of my friends just got refused a spouse settlement entry clearance. His employer changed his legal status from sole-trader to limited company during her employment. ECO inquired from HMRC about her tax payments and wrongly reached a decision that her employment was terminated long before her...

Accommodation Prove for Spouse Visa

Hi, Is a hotel reservation (for about 30 days) acceptable to meet the accommodation requirement of the visa? The sponsor and the application are both living abroad and they use the cash saving to meet the financial requirements. They are struggling to find a more permanent place and are thinking of ...

Re: EU Citizen with no job

Thank you all. My friend did not tell my everything and I just found out that she has worked since 8 months ago. Based on this fact I assume she can apply for a registration certificate based on working status in the UK? and after 5 years of working she can apply for PR. Given the uncertainty follow...

Genuine Mistake

Hi, One of my relatives applied for Tier 4 child today. She submitted a parent consent letter. She got the template from her friends and then adjusted it. Now she found out that on one part, the passport number is not correct and it is actually her friend's passport number. The passport number is co...

Tier 4 Child Age

Dear All, one of my relatives is going to apply for Tier 4 child. The issue is that she is now under 18 (actually 17 years and 10 months old) but she will be over 18 at the time of course start date. She is worried that they may refuse her on that basis. I could not find anywhere on the rules that w...

Appendix FM Self-Employment

Hi, I am confused in regard to Appendix FM requirements for self-employed. It is stated that the application could use income from their self-employment. What does income mean here? It means the applicant's share of business income or the salary he has withdrawn from the business? for example, if ap...

Confusion

Hi, there is a confusing point on Tier 1 E guidance and relevant immigration rules. In the part related to the registration as a self employed or director it says: "On a date no earlier than three months prior to the date of application" It is a very confusing. it means that for extension or ILR, ap...

Re: ILR Accelerated Route

thank you for your email. As you know there is no way to contact HO and their contact centres are not reliable. As I checked there is no provision in the rules that prohibit using this route during the second of further grants of leave so I assume it is possible.

Any comment would be appreciated.

ILR Accelerated Route

Dear All,

to use accelerated route (10 jobs creation), applicant should do it during the initial grant of leave or they can do it in the extension period? Applicant was not in the UK most of the time during the initial grant and it is the reason that she wants to use this route.

Thanks

Re: Should I apply for PBS dependent extension or FLR(M)?

Thank you, i got it wrong. Part 284 is for old applications and the new ones should be done under Appendix FM which does not prohibit PBS dependents. Am I right?

Re: Should I apply for PBS dependent extension or FLR(M)?

I have a strange question. There are plenty of questions on the forum about applying for FLR(M) or PBS dependent but it seems according to 284 (i)(c) it is impossible for a PBS dependent to switch to FLR(M). Am I right?

Thanks

thanks but it is not like that, he applied on say 19th dec and got the letter on 21st dec! It is due to their new weird application system in which application date is not the date you go to visa centre (what used to be) but the date you submit your application online. so we happen to have a scenari...
