is it true that there is a rule for secction D applications, that we must hold the control in the business that we establish (alone or with partner), i.e. at least 50.01% of the company, AND also be a director. Or you cna have it as 50/50 ownership + 2 directors. ?

if it is the nature of business, that matters, than events and conferences do fit here. The only thing is how to show a proof. Considering that is a 3 months timeframe from becoming director (or in face registering a company).
