Details like Name of father and mother, permenant address, date of birth etc is always there in the Indian passport, whether it is for an adult or child.

Thanks neerajbans for your reply. Yes my son's passport obviously has both of our (parents) name in it. We have also the original birth certificate which was issued in India, with all relevant information in both local language and English.

I just called the indian high commission in london. They confirmed the information provided in the website, that they can't attest the birth certificate since it is issued from India. I have been trying to contact the greek embassy, but their number is always busy and no success so far. So still stu...

Confusion is because in the application form it mentions if the applicant has entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain as a Tier 2 Migrant, go to question M4, which basically skips the proof part and tick M4 which says applicant has claimed 10 points for their level of funds.
