I applied by special delivery and had no problems whatsoever.
PO might be more picky though (as they charge for checking if everything is ok).

First the offence is one of those classified as minor offence and you are likely to get approval if you applied before it is spent. If you apply after it is spent, the Home Office is not in the business of reviewing Court sentences, all they would do is to apply the ruling to the approval criteria ...

You will find answers to your questions in AN guide.
You can apply when you are eligible - not earlier.
Being 1 year on ILR is not enough to be eligible.
There are other conditions as well.

It is a naturalisation certificate. It's like a birth certificate - you become a NEW Brit. :D
So only your name, date and place of birth is printed.
And, of course, date of ceremony.
