You will have to send your application on Monday 4 Apr. by Special Delivery to have it delivered on Tuesday 5 Apr. as you will then comply with requirement of being physically in the UK on 6 Apr. But then you will need to comply with no more than 450 days outside UK and you are starting from almost ...

You don't exchange naturalisation certificate for passport. You should keep certificate as it is valid for your whole life. Passport you can chose to have or not. Photocopy of certificate is worthless. If you lost your naturalisation certificate, you can get a new one for a fee. BTW. Technically spe...

Checkmyfile is waste of your money.
They are not CRA neither official CCJ register.
Spend £2 to get proper statutory credit report from Experian or Equifax (or sign-up and use their 30 days free access).
Or use TrustOnline where for £8 you can access the OFFICIAL court judgment registers.

You may apply for registration of UK-born-child as a British citizen at any time, as he is entitled to be registered under section 1(3) of BNA 1981. For you born-abroad-child, whose registration as British citizen under section 3(1) of BNA 1981 will be subject to discretion, I would suggest that yo...

My personal advice, if you can't afford to pay fees for you and your son, just think what will improve your overall situation in this country. I do not personally think it matters to have BC for 3 years old person, but I strongly believe it is to your advantage to be BC rather than not, don't you th...

Use the NCS contact numbers given in the (second) link to enquire about the fees they charge (which varies). worth to add, you can use any NCS you want, so shop around as you might save quite a lot, especially in London - for instance Southwark charges less for the whole family (£84 for a married ...

You better pick up the form from Post Office as it is quicker than doing online form which then they need to print out and send it over to you to sign. You need to answer all questions regardless if you fell the particular question is irrelevant or not. You just do it - take less time than deliberat...

You can't apply in either case before 26 July 2011. So, I'd save your and your refs time (and money if you're tipping them) and start to fill in appplication form not sooner than in July as forms (and rules) can change by then. Am not sure about you exercising Treaty Rights for at least 5 years prio...

You don't want to hear assumptions and I can see your point. But you are also making assumptions about distant future. You are also taking BIG leap of faith in your current employer - you assume you will be working for them in US for the next 7-8 years. This is a long shot in my view. As you are pro...
