lol......thought u meant it for the way i had quoted the querry.......yeah it is indeed a poorly worded question on the Set(M) form......i guess they just intend to know details regarding the time during the spouse visa. The student visa bit should be irrelevant. They should have mentioned it clearl...

Hi Guys, Just need sum advice with regards to applying for ILR theu spouse visa and using the Set(M) form........My husband initially was granted Student visa, which he overstayed and then left voluntarily.....we got married in his country and then he applied for spouse visa which was granted..........

Any date after the 2 year period should be fine isnt it??......we planning on applying in sept. do u fink we should book an appointment now if possible. And once again thanks for being so helpfull.

Thank you for the reply. Would his previous overstay affect the ILR application?? Cause they did issue him with spouse visa already. Would they reject our application and not grant ILR cause of the previous overstay??

Thanks for the replies guys........with regards to the English test at B1 or higher could some one plz. advise if passing the IELTS exam would be enough. My husband had done it b4 he applied for spouse visa but the cert. is only valid for 2 years so he wud have to do it again.

English B1 Test for ILR

Hi guys, as per the new requirement for ILR from OCT 2013, passing the LITUK test + B1 English test is necessary. Just wanted to make it sure that IELTS (Academic and General Training) awarded by Cambridge ESOL should meet the B1 English test requirement.

Thank you again Casa.......also we are planning on travelling abroad for holidays for about 10-15 days........do we need to account these days into the 2year qualifying period for ILR....???.....also would we have to show eveidence later on in our application while applying for ILR.
