i would strongly suggest you read the Tier 1 settlement guidance to get a feel of the whole process and how it relates to your own case http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/IDIs/idichapter6a/ i could be wrong here, but based on the fact that your qualifying period is ...

hi guys,

i believe i have gone through set(o) form and guidance and can't find any requirement for submitting marriage certificate (for depedant spouse)

Can someone kindly direct me to where this may be (if i have missed it) or is this not required for ILR application?

Based on some of the experiences people have posted, my understanding is that some case workers ask for the documents they need.

My advice will be to put them all in a well-indexed folder so you can easily trace any document that is asked for (worst case scenario)

i dont believe maintenance fund is a requirement. However i think you need to show proof of funds that you can maintain yourself and any dependants you may have. Unfortunately no set amount has been mentioned here. Page 44 of SET (O) form has this at the bottom "Evidence of your finances. If you hav...

Proposal for abscence clarification

Guys, I was thinking it might be a good idea for any of the future PEO Tier 1 General applicants to actually ask the case workers about abscences and how it is assessed by Case workers. Obviously answers given should only be used as a guide and not a rule. But it will give us an idea into how the ca...

@ Uksettlement, So based on above, is it safe to assume that Tier1 General applicants with abscences less than 180 days in any 12months period can fill section 6.3 of SET (O) form and tick the second option box which says "Letter from applicant detailing reasons for absence due to compelling or comp...

Lets take it one at a time. To qualify for ILR, one of the requirements is that you must score either 75 or 80 points (depending on your category). You will have to claim some points for past earning where you can select any 12months within 15month period preceeding date of application. Obviously yo...

Is photcopy of dependants passport, visas & stamps neces

Hi guys,

Need to clarify the following:

For ILR, i'm aware that the main applicant needs to submit photocopies of passport, visas and stamps.

Is there a requirement for the photocopy of similar documents for the dependants?

@Koshis, Really sorry to hear about your refusal. To get the best advice however, you will need to give a lot more information. You need to list visa types you have held as well as dates the visas were granted. You also need to let us know how many days you have been absent in the UK. With these inf...

The only thing I don't understand in your case is why they stamped your Tier 1 extension on March 18, 2010. This doesn't make any sense bearing in mind your previous visa expired in Feb and you first entered UK on the 7th of March 2008. Anyway this is just a little detail which probably is irreleva...
