Re: Can I travel alone in Schengen Area?

Hi Yasser::Norske, any Schengen RP allows you to visit any other Schengen-Country, alone, for up to 90 days without any conditions. There are no passport-checks between Helsinki and Zürich, hence no stamps, hence no-one can really check the 90 days limit, however in theory it is in place. Make sure...

Re: Spouse visa after EEA FP?

You could, but the procedure is much longer, as you will have to pass the english language test, show you meet the accommodation and maintenance requirement and that your wife is present and settled in the UK, or at least demonstrate an intention on her part to do so, and added to this the visa fee...

Being employed there are deductions from your wages (PRSI deductions I think). I presume they are deductions like in the UK for national health services. As I am paying into this, I am paying into the country so I don't think we would be classed as being a burden to the country. If EU national is n...

Spouse visa after EEA FP?

Is it possible to apply for a UK spouse visa for a non EU spouse of a UK national after successful EEA FP? I have EEA FP under Surinder Singh and I travelled to UK a couple of times. Can I apply for a UK spouse visa from the country of my residence?

Andy, the UK authorities will look for at least six months residence and pursuance of economic activity in Ireland in order for you to be treated as an EEA national for the purpose of the EEA regs (Singh). EEA FP won't be required unless entering Britain from Ireland on Ryanair. Why six months? I h...

Andy I guess you are not reading between the lines. You are just not happy as I am saying NO when you are expecting the answer to be YES. Read my post carefully and then the legislation you have pasted. Your wife should apply for a EEA FP under Surinder Singh rather than trying to travel on GNIB car...

Re: Sweden in breach of community law

The Swedish authorities have now begun a practice of demanding comprehensive health insurance for the third-country spouse of a union citizen moving to Sweden. This is, as you may or may not be aware of, not in line with the conditions laid down in Directive 2004/38/EC. Here it is explicitly stated...

Hi Irene, Here is my two cents , I am not an expert but I hope it helps. I know it counts as work and my husband would have to get a national visa if he wanted to work ...
