You should be fine. In accordance to section 3c(2)(c) & 3d(2)(b) the leave will continue until an in time in country pending appeal is finally determined/withdrawn/abandoned. Apart of that you must have the treaty rights evidences of EU partner for the time you lived as family member of EU national....

If the EU national is working then CSI will not be needed at all. CSI only needs when EU national is self sufficient or student.

I think your recent post contain the correct answer. Since you already knew that the right derived from EU route only requires its confirmation which is optional. No. It shouldn't. But you may request to divert your application towards EU route for your which you think to be eligible for. In the pursuit of permanent residence the EU national partner must exercise its treaty rights in UK for 5 years which cannot be excersied from outside of UK. Moreover, a non-eu national has to maintain its residence too in UK. Usually 6 months of absence does not affect the residence.

you should had lodged the missing report of your wife at the local police station during your visit there before departing. I do not think simply leaving the country without making efforts to find your missing wife was appropriate.

In case of married partners there is no requirement to live under one roof. However, in case of unmarried partners it may cause problem for future application.

In case of expired passport the Residence permit maybe issued on A4 sized page. Before that you maybe called by caseworker for an interview along with your EU national partner.

At the moment there is no escape for EU national from WRS scheme which was in enforced between 2004-2011 as nothing officially be announced/implemented about it. Therefore, it will be wise to cover that period when the EU national wasn't registered with WRS scheme through self sufficiency.
