Refer last para here: https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members 1) It has link to the required form 2) You need to send ur passport / BRP / visa copies / birth certificate (original). A letter from employer that you've been employed in UK with them from <start date> would help (although I don...

Re: Changing Employer without starting Job after Visa Stampe

Just to provide some additional info. The latest Tier 2 Policy Guidance (version 04/2014) - Annex A3, states that: " A3. What should you do if you do not want to take up the job you have been sponsored for? 240. If you have already been granted entry clearance and you no longer want to come to the U...

Re: Tier 2 Maintenance funds

I don't think so. I think it has to be in your name. OR Your new employer can provide a letter confirming that they will take care of the maintenance if they are an A-Rated sponsor. It's a regular practice by Tier-2 applicants. Read Section 4, point 3: https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/documents-you...

Re: Changing Employer without starting Job after Visa Stampe

Point (2) is valid if you dont join the first employer (as per your original post). If you dont join, there's no question of resigning! If you join and then want to switch jobs, then YES what you said is correct. You should wait for the the HO to approve your application before you resign (as recomm...

Yes, you can change provided your salary is > 153.5K (as per Apr-14 guidance) and you are applying from your home country. 1) See this post for more info: http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/tier-2-general-visa-eligibility-criteria-for-tier2-ict-short-t138799.html#p86...

1) Yes
2) Yes since we cannot have two active CoS in the system for the same applicant. The first one is already cancelled, hence you will have to re-apply.

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa -Main applicant ILR and job change

Logically, the main applicant will continue with the same ILR, hence I dont think the dependant need a change in visa. however, could not find any formal documentation on it. Maybe some of the seniors can confirm this.

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa -Main applicant ILR and job change

Tier 2 dependant visa is tied to the main applicant's visa. If you switch job, main applicant will be applying for a new Tier 2. Hence, the dependant also have to apply for a new visa (which can be done along with the main applicant).

Term Insurance while in uk.

Hi,

I've recently moved to UK on Tier 2 (General). I intend to stay here for 5+ years and get an ILR. Can I get a term insurance from a UK insurance company now? OR I need to wait until I become a UK national before they can give me a term insurance?

Thanks!

Yes, one would need a schengen to travel to Swiss. And you cannot apply from within Uk if you are travelling on a tourist visa. The person had to apply for a schengen from India itself before coming to UK to travel to Swiss from UK.

Hi,

Recently, Ireland has started a waiver programme wherein you (as an Indian citizen) can travel to Ireland with your UK tourist visa.

Is it fine with UKBA since I'm not returning to my home country for good and will be back after a week. Is there any link which I can refer for the exa...

Hi toshu,

I went thru the process last year. Generally, the BRP arrives 3-4 days after your passport. It will arrive at the same address as your passport. I guess, in your case, it will be your company.

Take care.

Hi Mods,

I am currently on a Tier 2 (ICT) visa in UK. Is is possible for my wife (dependant) to register a company within UK and work as a director of that company?

Thanks.
