ILR English test - which one?

Hi Folks, I'm a bit confused on which test should one take to satisfy the English language requirement for ILR application. In many of the topics, people referred the B1 pass certificate but could not find the exact test name. Is "IELTS Life Skills B1" from IELTS the right option OR "B1 SELT – GESE ...

Q3: I am not exempt. How do I go about fulfilling the requirement on the basis of a degree taught or researched in English? This is with regards to "If you hold an overseas qualification that you wish to use as evidence of English language proficiency" I dont think that from 06-Apr-2016 applicants ...

As long as you submit all the necessary documents, they should get the visa.

The COS is required in dependent's application for home office to confirm the main applicant's details. You are not using the COS for main application. The expiry of COS if for the main application. It should be fine.

Re: TIER 2 COS Expiry Date definition

A COS has to be used in an online application within 3 months from the date its assigned. If you see the COS details, the expiry date will be 3 months after the Assigned date. If you don't use it, it will expire and the sponsor has to issue a new COS.

Re: Switching Tier 2 ICT to dependant Tier 2 general visa travel question

So, it looks like that the application is already in process. If his dependent application is not decided by the time he's re-entering UK, it's fine. However, if its decided and is successful, his old visa would have been cancelled and he will not be allowed on his old BRP. You need to decide if it'...

Re: Tier 2 Entry Clearance / Visa

Assuming that your visa application is for more than 6 months, once your application is approved, you will normally get a visa for 30 days within which you should enter UK. Once you are in UK, you will have to collect your BRP card from the post office which you would have provided in your online ap...

You are legally not allowed to work before the start date mentioned in the visa. You can either get it corrected or start from 17th Sept.

There is no need to inform UKVI if its's just change of passport (everything else remains the same). You just need to ensure that you carry both old and new passport whenever you travel.

Re: Commencing new employment before resigning from old one

You cannot start work at your new employer until your new visa start date. This date will be based upon the COS start date.

You cannot continue to work with your old employer beyond the new visa start date since the old visa will become invalid.

Wait for some more time, they might find it. Worst case scenario, if it's lost, you need to report it to home office and apply for a replacement.

Re: can Tier 2 ICT dependent work after main holder moved

Your visa is tied to your spouse's visa. If her visa is cancelled, your dependent visa automatically loses its validity. Legally, you cannot remain if you wife is moving back permanently.

Any stay beyond cancellation will be at your risk.

Unlikely since your spouse's ICT visa would be cancelled once she applies to be your dependent. If the main visa is cancelled, all the dependent's visa becomes invalid.

No. Once she gets assigned a Restricted CoS, she will have to go back and apply for her home country. Few things to be aware of: 1. RLMT is required to be done by her employer (unless its a shortage occupation). 2. Since she's already working for the employer, element of pre-selection during RLMT wi...

1. What spouse related question are you talking about? Not sure if the application form is so complicated that you misunderstand the question such that it'll lead to rejection. 2. Does your company not verify the application data before submission? 3. Would be good to mention the exact wordings ment...
