Re: NI TAX Exemption

Did you come back on the same visa? I'm assuming YES. (1) Personally, I feel your employer should have informed UKVI about your relocation to home country since there was a break in UK employment. However, its a separate topic of discussion. (2) Since they did not inform and you came back on the sam...

Re: Tier 2 ICT migrant dependent visa

If she is applying for the dependent visa separately, you will need a maintenance letter from sponsor as well. Btw, if you are submitting bank statements with required funds, then the letter is not required. Also, in such cases, UKVI expects you to provide proof of marriage subsistence. Apart from m...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent documents for out of country applicatio

Hi guys I know this has been asked and answered time and again, but my husband is applying for his Tier 2 Dependent visa from the USA where he's working, but he is an Indian national. I wanted to confirm the documents we need to send (last minute panic to double check everything!). So far he's got:...

Re: Switching from permanent to contract job with same spons

Here, they are talking about a typical IT services company who assigns you to a time-bound project. Your entire ownership (including role, responsibility, salary) is paid by sponsor. Once your project is over, they will continue to pay you the relevant salary irrespective of whether they find anothe...

Re: Visa expiry

You will get the visa based on the COS. Passport expiry dates are irrelevant. Assuming you will renew your passport on-time, you will need to carry both the passports when you travel. Your visa will still be valid on the old passport.

Not sure where you got that info from. You are not allowed to work as a contractor under Tier 2 (doesn't matter whom you contract with).

Re: Passport renewed

You don't need a new BRP if you get your passport renewed. However, you need to carry both your new and the old passport each time whenever you travel (along with BRP of course). You can report the new passport when you apply for extension next time.

Re: Tier 2 general - change of employer

As I understand, you can apply for a visa of any duration - for 6 months / 1 yr / or any other duration. The sponsor need to ensure that the start and end date is mentioned accordingly in COS. The application fee will be same for all cases (i.e. same as for application less than 3 years). The only t...

Attestation is not required. Copy is fine. Btw, I'm hoping you are taking care of providing enough proof of your subsisting marriage. That has been a difficult area nowadays if dependent is applying for the visa seperately. Refer the case here: https://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tier-2-employer-sp...

Have your employer informed UKVI about the termination? If Yes, it's a risky proposition and he/she could be denied entry while returning back to UK.

Re: ILR for Tier 2 ICT

As per the rule mentioned, the gap should not be more than 28 days from the time the old visa expired and you applied for the new visa. In your case, it seems the gap was atleast 5 months (Jul to Nov). When you returned in June, your employer would have informed UKVI of your return and hence your ol...

Re: ILR for Tier 2 ICT

Because you returned to your home country and came back on a new entry clearance visa (which is after Apr-2010), I think unfortunately you cannot apply for ILR using 5 year route. However, since you came before Apr-2011, you can extend any no. of times and can go for 10-year route if your organisati...

Re: Tier 2 general visa extension for the holder and depende

1. Once you submit the online form and pay the necessary fees, you will be told of the address where to send the documents. Royal mail tracked service is preferred. Once UKVI picks up your application, you will be sent a letter to your address about how/where to do the biometrics. 2. For extension a...

Soft copies of documents are fine. Attestation is not required from UK. UKVI has become strict nowadays and they expect s...

Refer the T2 Policy Guidance again (Section 83). You will fall under this category: £25,000 or the appropriate rate for the job, whichever is the higher. In your case, £25,000 is the higher value, so your salary should be more that this. Also, please note that if you apply for your extension after A...

You are a bit confused on the terms - visa, CoS, sponsorship. To clarify your queries: 1. Your current visa (i.e. BRP) is valid until Aug-2017. You can extend your stay in UK for a max of 5 year (In total). 2. Your previous CoS is now used. You will need a new CoS from your employer with new start a...

Re: Extending Tier 2 with same employer

If you are extending with the same employer and with same SOC code, then RLMT is not required. When you say the job title will change - does it also mean that your responsibilities may also differ? If yes, UKVI may consider this as a change of job. Not sure though. They may only consider the SOC cod...
