Only your EU nationals employment in the host country (state), as in your case Ireland, matters for EEA-FP. When the EEA-FP is granted, you should both travel to UK together, this makes it much easier, than if your planning to meet them here in UK. Once in UK, the EU national can work, or not work, ...

Hi all, I guess that previously where the UKBA website said "It makes no difference if the only reason the EEA citizen etc,,,etc,,,etc,,," to the opposite end of the spectrum, where the EEA citizen is now expected (unlawfully) to relinquish his abode in his home state, ie, to sell his UK home, and b...

Re: Why are these questions on the EEA Family Permit form?

I am a UK citizen with non-EEA family, using the Surinder Singh route to bring my family back into the UK, having worked in Holland. I'm currently in Holland, filling out an application form for a UK Family Permit using a UKBA on-line application form: https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/AppProcess/s_Ap...

Dear all who replied,

Thank you for your kind advice, and so quick as well.

We have all the required doc's from her EEA-FP application, so we will send all this off, without the photo albums.
My work contract, our rent contract, paid taxes etc,

Why are you applying for an EEA Family Permit? I thought you and your wife were already in the UK? No, we're still in the Netherlands. I was hanging on to get Dutch residence cards, but after the disappointment on Friday (not recognising our marriage certificate) I thought I might as well take the ...

@graham: Yes, I now know that. It's the excessive 175 euro (for two people) courier fee I'm trying to avoid. On calling WorldBridge they made it sound unavoidable, but it sounds like I can just take it to Croydon myself. Does anyone know if I can and if I can collect it myself too? . . I thought yo...

It looks like we shall be applying for her residence card using the EEA2 application form. We just don't f...

We are now in UK with non-EEA spouse

Hi all, After a successful EEA-FP being issued in Paris, we are now in UK. I the husband, is UK British passport holder. My wife is Chinese. We used SS route. As I see it, and please correct me, the application for residence card, using the UKBA EEA2 form, simply confirms residence. And as the UKBA ...

Thanks Jambo,

They (UKBA) don't make the forms easy to understand.
But any way, I begin to understand the points now.

I can see the form is intended for the "non-UK" persons coming to UK to exercise their treaty rights here, just like I did in Germany.

Hi euroguys, Thanks for the info. The "6 months" was given to us verbally, which I knew was total bull crap. This is why it was never written down on the refusals. So back to the EEA2 thing. . . . . When I read the EEA2 guidance it becomes as clear as mud ! (not surprising) It reads, 1/ WHO CAN APPL...
