Hello acme4242, Firstly, may I thank you very much for taking the time and effort to post such a great reply. The links, and the information in your post is exactly what I was looking for. It looks like Norway have been rather sensible with the EEA directive, which is a breath of fresh air, consider...

Where does Norway stand with this directive?

Hello every one, It is reassuring to know just how many very clever persons are here, and how well many of them know the EEA immigration procedure. I have a question, if I may, I am UK citizen, born in UK Both my parents are UK parents, I am a UK passport holder. My "soon to be wife is Chinese" With...

Hi Vinny, Thanks for the link to the UKBA wording. I have pulled an extract, to which I think is applicable In your application, (you/name of other person) said [false statement], OR (you/name of other person) submitted [the documents that are false]. I am satisfied that the [statement/documents] [w...

Thank you Mulderpf, That make more sence. My original question though is,"On the paper she received from UKBA, totally highlighted in blue in my first post, has no mention of 320 (7b) Simply mentions 320 (7a) Going back to Vinny's post: Given 320(7A), she is automatically subject to a 10-year ban un...

So read the big unless box ... So that means that the first box hasn't been ruled out because none of the 'unless'es are yes - so you follow the box to "offence demonstrated to a high standard". Ergo - one possible outcome. M. . I must me being dim tonight,,, But why follow the box "offence demonst...

I'm not sure how you get to two outcomes. She has previously used deception ... so move to the 'unless' box. But in the unless box is 'used deception MORE than 10 years ago' - since that's an immediate "well - she has done that" *and* she's not applying for spouse settlement (further down) - it fol...

Hi Vinny, Thats a terrible flow chart. Quite difficult to really adjuge the "yes, no, or unless" I can run through the flow chart, and arrive at 2 outcomes. No for 320 (7b) and then yes for 320 (7b) . I am more puzzled now, however we don't want to risk a visa submission, only to be slapped down. Pe...

Hi Vinny, Thanks for the first reply. Is it really as bad as that? So do I understand correctly, that at the moment she is not subject to a 10 year ban. However, if she applies for another tourist visa, then they will not even read the paperwork, just go right on and send her a 320 (7b) ? Is this co...

Hello all, We have a problem that needs some more brain power than we both have. If we had any brain power at all, we wouldn't be in this mess. Here it is. I am UK citizen, born in UK, lived there all my life. My girlfriend is Chinese. We know each other for 2 years now, and have lived together in C...

Hello fysicus, This powerful EU-directive 2004/38 is really mind blowing. A lot of the work I do, is in Norway. So I will consoladate my effort to pick up a new contract in Norway, last contract was over a year long. Then it looks quite strait forward to bring my Chinese wife to Norway, quoting EU-d...

Graham Weifang, Your plan sounds pretty straight forward. You and your non-EU family members can go on vacation, or can move to Denmark. Once there you need to find a job within 3 months. You should then immediately apply for a Residence Card for your spouse. If you have any problem with the Danish...

Hi Edinburgh, Thank you for taking the time to reply. The reason I want to know is ( if I am also EEA resident, by the fact I am a UK CITIZEN) is this. I am in China at the moment, and have a job offer in Denmark. As I am UK Citizen, I have free right to live and work in Denmark. Also, I believe it ...

Is a British Citizen also an EEA citizen?

Hello all, What a mess this immigration stuff is. I am UK born, and have UK passport. In the back of my passport, it says BRITISH CITIZEN. As the UK is also in the EEA, am I aslo an EEA CITIZEN? If I went to live in Denmark for example, am I then a EEA citizen, or am I always a BRITISH CITIZEN, firs...

Probably not many people here will know the details regards Norway, so you may want to have a look through the UDI web pages. The most relevant page seems to be: http://www.udi.no/Norwegian-Directorate-of-Immigration/Central-topics/Family-immigration/test/Family-immigration-pursuant-to-the-EEA-regu...
