December 2013 EEA2 Residence card applications

Hi all, Who else applied in early December? We sent off my wife's (we are married) application on 4th December. 2013 with a Postal order, to ensure no payment issues or problems. My wife received her CoA with permission on 9th December 2103, so we were quite impressed with the turn around in reply. ...

Re:

Generally EEA-FP require more than just this, this is why I questioned if just a Family member visa was issued, to initially enter into Europe. I believe you are missing the basics. EEA Family Permit is a UK only entry clearance intended for non-EEA nationals who are family members of EEA nationals...

Re: Indefinate Leave to Remain (ILR)

Thank you Jambo :D So I understand about ILR v PR , it's a bit more clear now. Further to that, does that mean that because my non-EEA wife entered UK with me, via SS route, that she can apply for naturalisation (British citizenship), after 3 years,... but it still takes the 5 years, as she needs PR...

Re: EEA2 Self sufficient

Hi liu, Are you asking about the Surinder Singh process, or are you planning to do EEA2 in UK? For Surinder Singh I think applications from self sufficient applicants has very low application. By far the large majority will have the EEA national doing some employed work in another EU country. Rate o...

When were the first "£55.00" applicants charged?

Some time middle 2013 I guess.

Re: UKBA To Charge For EEA Applications

Has any one challenged the £55.00 cost yet?

Or have they just sucked up to it, and paid.

I guess, in the full picture of things, £55.00 isn't that much.

But it all adds up.

Re: EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Matricol, . . So if non-EEA folk get the CoA with the words "Entitled to Work" then I guess that means they are allowed to work, and make money Then on the other flip side some if folk get the CoA with the words "Not Entitled to Work" then I guess that means they are Not allowed to work, and make mo...

Re: The New Section 10 questions

Just ignore this section. It has nothing to do with EEA applications and is there just because someone in the HO did a lazy copy and paste from another type of application. . . Perhaps UKBA leave it in the EEA application to create confusion and concern. ? A large authority such as UKBA should have...

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

Yes we got written refusal and permission to appeal. Main reason for returning is because my Dad will be having a bypass soon and I want to be around. Probably wont stay more than 6 months. Obviously better if we can both work while there. They told us that there's nothing stopping her trying to en...

Re: EEA2 Appeal Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Do you think I should send an email, to ask the current position of application. A point to remember is that this is just a "residence confirmation" as we have done all the hard leg work in Germany/France, when we applied for an Surinder Singh EEA-FP visa, which was granted. According to the UKBA we...

We both arrived in UK on 22nd October 2013, from Dunkirk. Her is Non - EEA citizen from China. I am UK citizen. Only your EU nationals employment in the host country (state), as in your case Ireland, matters for EEA-FP. When the EEA-FP is granted, you should both travel to UK together, this makes it much easier, than if your planning to meet them here in UK. Once in UK, the EU national can work, or not work, ...
