I don't think your earnings is enough. 20K minimum.

Look into Tier2 section. You can find answers to every question. First read the general guideline then ask questions if you are not clear.

Re: Tier 2 visa and working from home

Hi all, Can i legally work from home (rather than at work place which is in a different city) without violating any immigration laws regarding Tier 2 (General). My employer is open to the idea of me working from home to save commuting time but i want to make sure as i dont want to fall foul of any ...

Re: Going back home near to my visa expiry date

I am currently a PSW visa holder which expires on the 22nd of Decemeber 2012. I work in a well reputed company who are ever so willing to apply for my Tier 2 visa straight after. My company is in the process of obtaining an allocation of sponsor certificate and they have been told it make take long...

Mate thanks a million. I have had an idea. We are gonna go together to a career advice meeting at my GFs uni where we'll ask for some advice and realistic prospects of her being able to find a sponsor before her Tier 4 visa expires so she can get a Tier 2. That will make things clearer. However, if...

Thanks a lot for your help! I assume when you said SOC in your last sentence you meant COS? SOC = Code of practise | COS = Certificate of sponsorship. Don't mix things up :) Code of practise is the document which states the job titles/ job NVQ level/ Job description / Job code / Salary level Certif...

Ok so from what I understand: - GF is in Tier 4 now, so she can apply for ANY job at a company that is on the UKBA register, in ANY field. Yes she can given the company is willing to hire her. It has to be a graduate level job with correct NVQ level. Check the Tier2 Guide I think its NVQ6. - Becaus...

Thanks for the reply! By UKBA occupation list do you mean the register of sponsors (employers)? No. Look at this one http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/employersandsponsors/pointsbasedsystem/june2012-cop/ Now look for the field that your g.fs job might fall into; for an e.g: I'...

Lucapooka, Thanks for taking the time to post a reply, but as I'm sure you know, these are really stressful times for those of us who are awaiting a reply from UKBA. Hi, I am currently on post study work visa (Tier 1) and that is about to expire in 6 months time. I have been employed by a university to work on a project (duration 4 years). I have been working on the project for 2 years now. I need to know the correct procedure of switching from Tier 1 to Tier 2...

But how do you justify these absences to your employer? Does he continue to pay you beyond what would normally be 28 days paid holiday for most UK workers. If you don't wish for ILR then the absences won't matter (if you continue to be employed by your sponsor). My employer is fine with me leaving ...

Re: How many days outside uk on Tier2 ?

I know I can't stay more than 180 days in 5 years Depends on the reason for the absence. Paid holidays and business trips may be discounted. Thanks for your reply. I got a 90 day visa now to visit my wife. (For a period of 1 year) I already had a 60 day visa in which I spent 50 days from dec 2011 t...

How many days outside uk on Tier2 ?

Hi, I'm on Tier2 Gen. I travel to a EEA country often to visit my wife. (Who lives there now) I want to know how many days I can stay outside UK (to visit my wife) ? I got a schegen visa and it has a restriction that I can't stay not more than 30days at a time. (But 90 days in total within 6 months)...

Register of sponsors - employers That's great, thanks a lot! I see there are companies like spas and cafes etc too, which is promising. But even working full time, I doubt she'd meet the minimum income requirement. Surely that cannot be 150,000?! Why would companies like cafes bother registering as...

If my partner is accepted on a PHD course here that starts at the end of 2013 (which would come with a visa of course for the duration of the course), would there be a way then for her to be able to remain here for the period between when her current visa expires and the PHD course starts? Hi, SMS doesn't ask for your qualifications. You have to submit this with your TIER2G application in support of your English language requirement. (I don't know how this works now since the TIER2 G application itself has gone online. I applied with the application form and attached my certificate as...
