Blackhole and cricinfo, I know HO really tests people patience but don't worry, you will get positive response when you least expect them. If you made application by post, ask for your documents back (that’s how I did it) and they will be forced to retrieve you files from whenever they have kept them.

The processing timelines have dramatic changed for the worse this year! My family (spouse and kids) applied (postal) on 29/01/2011 and received by UKBA on 31/01/2011. Fees were debit on 06/02/2011.
