Vinny has already answered your question. Its not mandatory for you to apply for your child ILR with you. Once you get ILR you can apply for your child's registration and passport. This will save you some money. BUT to remind you , once your child visa expire(he/she would be legal in UK don;t worry)...

you can apply for all of your (three ) together. Minimum cohabitancy is 2 years for general public BUT you are covered under HSMP JR so you will not have any problem.

you can apply for their registration using MN1 form under section 1(3).
Once you get registration certificate then you can apply for their passport.

as I wrote many times, front line officers are not more intellegent than any one selling fries on Mcdy.

If children were born in UK then you can apply for their Registration under 1(3) once you get ILR.

if you don;t want to save money then apply for ILR before that.
