Re: Point Based Calculator going away

The UKVI are ridiculous when it comes to making changes to their policies and this 6th April change to remove the PBS calculator as an option for English language was not even announced in the UKVI Announcements site . How many here would have known about this change if not for Manci's post in this ...

Re: Query on Qualifying Period for ILR

Legally your eligibility period will start from Jan 2012. Incorrect. You period of continuous stay starts from May 2011 when you first entered the country. Even if you hd been unemployed until Jan 2012 that would not matter as you entered on a Tier 1 General visa. So yes as geritrix has pointed out...

Re: 12 Months Consecutive Income for ILR

20th May 2015 to 20th April 2016 is 12 months and is OK. April to April is 13 months, no problems in you submitting 13 months, but only 12 months will be considered.

No it will not. See below in italics points 34 & 35 from pg13 of the Tier 2 policy guidance 34. If you have been absent from work on maternity, paternity, shared parental or adoption leave or long term sick leave that lasted for one month or longer during the last 12 months, we will count any wo...

Hi AML2015 it was sad to hear that your ILR been rejected. however if you were a director in that period you have to submit your SA100 either you didn't exceeds Tax threshold or not. with dividend tax credit and minimum tax threshold you don't have to pay tax up to £31,785, however still you are li...

Re: Divorce for British Citizen, married in India.

I am specifically commenting on divorcing in the UK as habitually resident (given OP and his wife are both British). I am currently going through this process and was married abroad. Ah ok, sorry to hear that CR001. Yes, I agree a divorce is possible in the UK. I was somehow of the impression that ...

Yes, they will be able to consider her application on the basis of yours and hence Casa has suggested the gap of 2 hours between the two appointments on the same day.

The fact that you have settled will not affect the expiry date of her current dependent visa.

Re: Divorce for British Citizen, married in India.

People married abroad can and should divorce in the UK if they are habitually resident in the UK. The UK divorce process is NOT only for people married in the UK or those whose marriage is registered in the UK. A valid marriage certificate (original) is required to be submitted for divorce in the U...

Re: ILR by Post in 2 days Tier 1 (G Employment + Self Employ

Well prepared and doc set is looking good. You dont need to submit medical docs of son for the 87 day absence period, just a self attessted letter explaining the same will do. SA302s and P60s not required to be submitted. However given the current climate and scrutiny for self employed applicants, I...

Re: Divorce for British Citizen, married in India.

However it is still a marriage made in India and registered in India. So will have to be annulled in India I would think as the UK will have no records of the marriage except for the UKVI which may hold documentation of marriage certificate if this was submitted for visa purposes. Not sure if there ...

Thanks for the update Jacob124. This is indeed going to cause a lot of confusion for folks applying post 6th April as there is no clear announcement of this change in the UKVI site as well.

Re: Visa for my pregnant wife on ILR

The visa fee for dependant partner is £1195 plus £1195 for your dependant son. See, https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk Your partner and son need to pay Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) which is £200 per year of visa granted. So for 3 years it will be £600. In your case for 2.5 years should be £5...
