Latest 3 months Bank Statement

Hi,

Do we need latest 3 months bank statement to demonstrate that we can live without using public funds?

does this statement needed despite we providing the bank statements showing monthly salary credits?

What was the reason for the refusal? Next course of action would certainly depend on the reason why the ILR was refused?

Absence letter

I was out of UK for only 3 weeks throughout 5 years period. Do I need to provide any letter for that? It was just a personal visit to my home country in 2011. Please advise if I need to include any letter for this?
