1. Should I select employed or self-employed in the application form? Employed, because you are employed by your limited company (doesn't matter you are a director) 2. How sooner can a Tier-1 General visa could be extended?

Hi Experts,

My tier-1 (General) visa is due on 20-April-2012.
Can I do an extension by this August? Are there any rules or minimum period before I should "only" apply?

The reason being a IT contract role was denied just because my Visa is < 1 year

So you say that she needs to change it to my dependent only if she needs to be a permanent resident?

Coming back to the original question:

So now if I am extending my Tier-1 does she need to be my dependent legally?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes, if she wants to live in the UK as your dependant. Yeah but a visa means entry clearance where she doesn't needs an entry clearance.
