it doesn't require hotel booking details if you provide airline tickets. just mention in the cover letter your itinerary. i don't know how the online form is now, but i had applied for a visit visa and was not asked for garda registration number. btw, current processing times are 3 weeks, a friend g...

Congratulations RSILR!

What about your absences from the UK? Did you just write about it in your cover letter without submitting any letter from employer/client?

If he enetered the UK within 90 days of his EC then he can apply from 28 days before EC + 5 years. Thanks D41019125 for the reply. What I am after is how to work out the '28 days before' part in the website referred to in the FAQ(timeanddate.com) If EC + 5 years is 20-Sep-2015, then does the last 2...

28 day window clarification

FAQ on this website says: Q4 - What is the earliest day I can apply for ILR? Unless the 3-month entry concession is applicable (Q5), one can apply no earlier than 28 days before the 4th (HSMP before 03-Apr-06) / 5th (other economic migrants) anniversary of either date of entry in the UK (overseas ap...

Yes, it sure looks like an accidental 'leak' of a decision already taken but not yet announced. That said - because it has not been announced it is not official yet and may change. This alternate extension story has muddied the water even more. Nothing written supports this advice. From personal exp...

dandm, Extensions after April-2010 are for three years. http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=143477 Some case workers have misinterpreted Section 245CB discussed in the above thread to grant 2 years extension, but they are in the minority. Anybody granted 2 years' extension should contact UK...

Very worrying. We entered nine months after the start of our visa (August 2011). We did our first extension last year and it runs until Nov 2015. Need a second extension to cover the gap to ILR. I was always worried they would do this. You should get 3 years on your extension, so you should be fine...

T1 Extn - Dividend payout during break from contract

Hi, I am an IT contractor operating via a Ltd Company. In order to slide the 15 month earnings period forward to hit an extension sweet spot date for future ILR purposes - can I pay myself dividends from retained earnings long after having stopped receiving payments from clients ? For example, if I ...

You can apply from 28 days before you satisfy the 5 years requirement. As long as you have valid leave to remain when you apply that's fine.

ILR eligibility date, first entry > 90 days from EC

Reading the FAQ it appears that one will be eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before 5 year completion date from date of entry(where date of entry greater than 90 days from EC date). Does this mean that if current leave to remain ends in this 28 day window, but is not enough to cover full five years...

I did the same last year. belfast-dublin-india, back same route. if you apply visa via post you will get it in a week. i had inquired with Irish embassy, quoting from their reply: Reply from visamail@justice.ie : The first step of the visa application process is the...

your flatmate can't 'pick up' your BRP. you have to sign for it after showing ID. thats if the courier person follows the rules, and 9 times out of 10 they do.

if you want stress free travel to India and back then don't leave without the BRP. its unknown territory and most likely illegal.

as long as you have an Irish visa - go for it.

I did last year. Passport control is in the airport. Your passport will get stamped on exiting Dublin airport and when you return from India.

perfectly legal.
