this will be acceptable but is not advisable. if for any reason you have to re-apply then you cannot use the same account for maintenance fund

you can arrive to the UK anytime before visa expiry and apply for extension. i have seen two such cases getting approved, with no UK earnings and no prior UK visit or use of T1. search for this in this forum. one user was cherrypie, can't remember the other.

the safest methods are banker's cheque and postal order. postal orders are expensive, banker's cheque costs around 20£. will take same time as cheque or a bit quicker

75 days is not a realistic time frame to get a decision in. just getting payment deducted is taking 25 days on average nowadays. also consider that withdrawing your application will take 15-20 working days from the day you make the request if you don't mind the steep fees, then try for a peo appoint...

Do we need to inform UK BA after enrolling biometrics ?

Some applicants phone/fax uk ba after submitting biometrics to inform that biometrics has been enrolled.

Is this standard practise or we can sit back and just wait for decision without informing/checking if biometrics data has registered against our application/case ?

number 3 not needed if submitting payslips. and it is useless without monthly salary gross/net figures which can be matched off against bank statement.

you will be fine with 1 and 2

you can use more than one account in combination to show the min balance. so for the days when the balance went under 800 if another account can make up the difference you can use that

its not mandatory to declare all earnings. it's a good idea to leave out the self-employed part to keep your application simple.

as long you are paying taxes on your non-salary income you should be fine in case of general background verification

Re: Delay in Processing time for Tier 1 ext due to Olympics

Thanks for your reply. I am also very curious to know if they process my application in priority if I explain to them in a covering letter about my current situation and also provide a proof for that. I know it all depends on the visa officer's discretion. But still I want to know if any of the boa...

given current slow processing times and increased fees, appeal may be good option. ofcourse if you don't mind the cost and are in a hurry then re-apply. you will be submitting only one statement so no chance of same mistake again

have you run the points calculator or read the guidance ?

applicants can claim UK expereince points for extension if they need the points to qualify for extension.

letter from US bank would be sufficient
