I know people who used fake papers and were sentenced 6 months in prison.I doubt he will get a year. Try and gather evidence that he has been working and paying taxes, proof that he has been here for 12 years and proof that you in a relationship for 1 year. You will need this in case you decide to app...

After his sentence he will probably be taken to detention center after his sentence and they will try and remove him within 3 days. How long have you been going out?Have you got any children? The reason i am asking is he may have a strong article 8 case.Get a lawyer before he is released. Visit him a...

I went to court and the judge told me you are discharged from bail as your appeal was successful and home office are not appealing.My-bail hearing was over in about 2 minutes. My appeal was allowed almost 3 months ago.I did ask the rep from UKBA when will my ILR be processed he said it won't be long...

If you are in transit you don't need a visa as you are not leaving the airport. You will need the visa if you leave the airport even for a few hours. It might be worth checking with the airline or embassy .

I think your case might have been complicated considering you spent 5 hours in court. The judge needs time to read through his or her notes and write his/her determination. I don't think the judge was on holiday if he or she was the court might have informed you. I was in and out of court in 2 hours ...

If you are out of status i'd personally advice to go through a solicitor.Put the bill on the credit card if you have to. You may find a lawyer who takes legal aid here http://legaladviserfinder.justice.gov.uk/AdviserSearch.do .Unfortunately lawyers are expensive. If you are out of status and get cau...

Be prepared to wait atleast 3 months or even more before ukba implement the appeal. Can i just ask what reasons did they give you for the refusal?Call me a skeptic but UKBA knew you were about to complete 10 years lawful residence and they used some fibble excuse not to renew your visa. I am still w...

I think the bigger the statement is the better you will get clearance.Hotels are expensive some rooms can go for £200-300 per night. When the immigration officer at heathrow asks you how much you have on you if you say £100 they might send you back to Nigeria.I think £1000 is reasonable or better...

You have paid the fine that's all that matters.I won't worry about it you haven't committed a crime.

No solicitor can guarantee an application.UKBA have a tendency of making poor decisions which are later won on appeal especially on non asylum applications.

Get another solicitor to help you with your immigration matter.UKBA will examine the additional grounds you send them and get back to you. It may take months for your case to be listed.UKBA are sore loosers when they loose an appeal and they will normally take 3 months or more once the judge allows the appeal for them to implement the appeal.

Hope you have a barrister to represent your case to court.
