A quick update on what's happening. My PSW visa expires on the 27th. We emailed them, and got this response. (Sponsor Licensing Support <SponsorLicensing.Support@UKBA.gsi.gov.uk>) "Thank you for your enquiry regarding the status of your application. We can confirm that your application is being trea...

I hope so too. I guess, the trick was to be nice to them. We were VERY very polite in our email, which is why i guess they replied soon. i guess the people who are responding to our queries have no control, and someone higher up pushes all the important buttons. but at least if we can be nice and no...

Re: Tier 2 Sponsor License Application

Hi everyone, hope you are well. My company did apply for Tier 2 Sponsor application on 17.04.2012 and we are still waiting for the license. I did call them few times and email them and they informed us that we are working on the applications for the first week of April. It is nearly 6 months now. i...

Hasmil, i'm going to try to have my company follow up as a urgent business request. Does anyone know where we can send these urgent requests to? we sent it to these addresses: sponsorlicensing.support@ukba.gsi.gov.uk, scoc@ukba.gsi.gov.uk, SponsorProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk i think mainly the th...

Looks like until April they were issuing less licenses than requested. With April coming down to a shocking 44. Which was probably why all this delay was. Though looks like they are catching up little by little by issuing more licenses each month than the requested number.

Thanks very much. And as far as I know, PSW applicants are exempted from maintenance as well. Nope, this is not the case anymore. It used to be, but now they have changed the rules, where you HAVE to show the maintenance fund, or get your sponsor to say that they will take care of it on the COS. an...

Just wondering if anyone can post any details of successful applications for Sponsor Registration and CoS (unrestricted or restricted). These delays are very worrying. Also have been reading here in the forums saying that if you don't get the CoS on time to send the Tier 2 visa application anyway an...

Thanks Manci. I guess i've posted a fresh thread again with a few more questions. As for the maintenance fund I have had the £900 for while, so should be fine when i make my application. As for the timing, guess i have to just wait :) 1. Maintenance fund. A few months ago I read on the UKBA website ...

PSW to Tier 2 General. NQF, Sponsorship, CoS & Maintanen

I was trying to figure out the answers myself by going through all the posts - and things seem to get more and more confusing. So thought it would be best to start a new thread. About me: On Tier 1 PSW - Expires 21st October. Employer has applied for registration for the frist time 3 weeks ago. I ha...

Not 100% sure, but i vaguely remember that you shouldn't have more than 5% shares of the company you are working in. Not sure what the rules are if it is a different company.

Either way - good luck!

Just to add to this, as I will be making my application soon too. (instead of starting a brand new thread!) 1. Maintenance fund. A few months ago I read on the UKBA website that if switching from PSW to Tier 2 General you dont have to show this. But now i can't seem to find this anywhere on the webs...

Hi, If my memory serves me right, the Maintenance rule of holding £800 for a period of 90 days was not applicable to any applicants who were switching from PSW to tier 2 provided that they worked for at least 6 months preceding the application date with the same employer. I went through the tier 2 ...

Re: Urgent! Debit card fraud after Visa application sent

Just out of curiosity, when the payment was deducted from the account by credit/debit card, what did it show on the Bank Account Transaction? The application was posted on Friday. Yesterday (monday) when my brother checked his online statement to see if the visa office has charged him yet he found ...

Urgent! Debit card fraud after Visa application sent

Bit of a pickle for my brother who is renewing his Tier 2 visa. (he also has his wife as a dependant). Everything needed for the visa i believe is fine, document and finance wise. But here is the problem. A few days after the visa application was posted the debit card that was intended to pay the vi...

Thanks a lot for the response! This just makes me feel so much more better. As a lot of people keep saying so many scary stories, and I guess I will just have to first find a company that's in the Sponsor register or find someone who is willing to :) Thanks again. Will do my best to post updates on ...

Tier 2 - Help and advice needed!

I currently have a PSW visa which expires October 2012. Currently working as a Graphic Designer as a contractor, but I'm in the process of going through interviews (a few offers as well) for permanent positions. This is what I am aware of (correct me if i'm wrong)- - I need to be working at leas 6 m...
