To be honest with you, I did not see COS form but I will find out if it has any option to say that they can tick a box to say that they can provide £900 for maintenance. It would be great if I can hear senior moderators thoughts on this issue. your employer can just say they are taking care of main...

Thanks manci. I actually called UKBA today and they said the same thing as you. My problem however is that when the new application is approved it will automatically cancel the old one and I guess my current employer will be notified which I'm sure won't go down well given that I have a 4 weeks not...

Re: Sponsor licence number digits?

It could me a trivial thing but confuses me. I'm currently filling up my Tier 2 application form. I have the sponsor licence number from HR manager which has 9 digits. There are 8 blanks in the application form. Is this just a simple usual mistake by UKBA (like 7 blanks somewhere and 6 blanks somew...

Re: Help with Accountant Job Code 2421

Hi guys, I just want some clarifications before going forward: 1. I am currently registered with ACCA and have been exempted with F1, F2, F3 and F4. I assume I am part I qualified? 2. If yes, can I apply as assistant accountant Job code 2421 quoting a salary of £20,001 per annum (more than £20K and...

Is it not correct if you are switching it from PSW you need to have minimum of NQF Level 6 occupation? So if you are showing it as an Artist, it is not a NQF level 6 job. Pls read below:- Codes of practice for Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) Applicants under Tier 2 (General) or...

1. Have you applied before the expiry of your PSW leave on 27 October? 4. Without having seen the documents it appears that a mistake may have been made by the caseworker. Try to contact the caseworker by phone if there is a direct phone number on the letter and also by email if there is a full nam...

Re: PSW to Tier 2(General) - Help Required

Hi, I’m currently on PSW and will be switching to Tier 2 (General). My visa expires in Feb 2013 and my company has already provided with COS. I have few doubts before I submit my application. 1. Currently my salary is 26k however I will be paid 30k in future as required under the SOC code 2132 (Net...

Looks like the case worker thought that you don't come under SOC 3411. Does your job description tally with 3411 description? yes, quite very closely actually. and it doesnt say that they thought that i didnt come under the SOC code. they quite plainly say that it's not NQF 6 therefore have decline...

Re: Refused

Hi hashmil, Sorry about the visa thing. I looked at your situation. I think in Section R document, it saids From 14 June 2012 applicants under Tier 2 (General) or Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) must have an offer of a job at or above NQF 6 if they are:  applying from abroad; or  applying to swit...

Para 77E sets out that jobs must be at nqf level 6 or above unless an exception applies, and switching from psw is not one of them. Hey greenie, that para also states that it can be NQF4(creative). which was my job code (the very code i used was in that para as well). yes, today i received my refus...

Tier 2 (switching from PSW) refused - what am i doing wrong?

So I'm switching from Tier 1 PSW to tier 2 general. Had the whole sponsorship registration delay shinanigans. Been there, done that, got the shirt. Was hoping that everything was in place, as i double and triple checked everything down to the NQF requirements. But after all that trouble and pain got...

Refused

Bad news guys. UKBA managed to put together my COS with my application. however, they have refused is because my COS isn't a NQF 6. It is a NQF 4(creative sector). HOWEVER, on the Tier 2 guidence doc they say this: Applications for entry Clearance or switching into tier 2 (General) 64.If you are app...
