Re: EEA2 additional documents.

Hi everyone. I am in a really stressful situation, at my own fault. We applied and everything but we didn't send them our original passports. I am a non-eea national and my husband is Romanian. I got the CoA and biometrix letter months ago and did the biometrix right away. I am just so worried that...

Re: EEA2 additional documents.

Hi, I have a question related to additional papers. I am thinking to send (additional) 2 latest payslips of EU partner along with the bank statements showing salary coming in. I called HO and their representative said that I should send it to Durham. However, next day I’ve called them again just to...

Certifying British Passport

Just wonder how a British Passport (bio-data page) is certified by British Embassy or Consulate. Is it simply photocopied and ink-stamped with with wording (.......... is the true copy of........ issued by.............) on the same document?

Please share your experience if you have any.

Is it called a 5-year residence permit?

Re: EA FP Granted but EEA2 Refused

I would love to wait until the process is completed however depending on how long that might take I am in a situation that forces us to travel in February due to family circumstances. I was just wondering on our chances of being allowed to re enter the country whilst the appeal is still ongoing if ...

Re: The court declared sham marriage

I wonder in this case, the wife has moved to Germany while her husband is still on his EEA RC in the UK. It means his wife no longer exercises treaty rights in the UK. Does his EEA RC automatically become invalid?

We called the Irish embassy in Guatemala and asked what we needed to do to have our marriage certificate translated in a way that the Irish government would accept, and were told how. The Guatemalan way was a bit convoluted - had to get it signed and stamped by the Ministry of Exterior Relations, t...

Re: What to say to Immigration Officer at airport?

Hello all, My Guatemalan husband and I (I'm British) are moving to Dublin on the 1st of July. We are arriving on the same plane, but I am trying to get my head around what to say to the immigration officer on arrival at Dublin airport. i.e. they say "What is the purpose of your visit to Ireland?" a...

I am moving your thread to the EEA section. There is no need for you to apply for a visa outside the UK. Simply apply for a residence card in the UK. What should the OP's wife do if the RC is not approved in time (before the expiry of her visitor visa)? Nothing, just wait. Just wonder what is the R...

Re: EEA FP or Code 1A at the airport?

Hi, Me and my wife are moving from Germany to the UK this year and I was thinking about getting the code 1A at the airport and don´t apply for EEA FP for pure convenience. What are the negative points of this choice, if there are any? Thanks in advance Do you mind telling whether you are a visa-fre...

Birth Certificate unavailable

When a foreign born person is naturalised as a British citizen, does the HO/UKBA ask for his/her birth certificate as well?

If yes, but his/her birth certificate is not available/never has one. Does the authorities accept other documents as a proof of the birth?

Birth Record in GRO

When a foreign born person is registered/naturalised as a British National, is his/her birth (details) "automatically" transferred to and kept by the General Register Office (GRO) in UK. If not, what can be done to make the GRO to keep the birth record as a British National.
