Hey, my case is the same. I applied with form EEC1, my german partner was granted 5 year (with a blue card), and I got a sticker which says only: limited leave to remain in the UK. No acces to public fund). It´s a redish sticker with my picture. I got the visa as unmarried partner of a european. It ...

Just to let you guys know: Saturday I got my passport with a new vignette stamp (residence permit) with my name corrected. That was quite fast!!!! But I have to say that I was sending them faxes twice a day, or at least once a day. Calling often, complaining, complained to the Home Office Complainin...

Hi Karlita, me too, I had made a nice folder with index, all organized, etc... and then I went there and it was such a mess! And I was applying for unmarried partner visa, so I even had to prove the 2 year cohabitation. I had all organized in chronological order, and then with this small space we ha...

When I went to apply for the UP visa in the british consulate in Germany the woman told I could not apply, bla bla bla... and she told: "well, if you want to take the risk you can apply, but we can deny your visa". Hi Sunil, we can travel without the partner with no problem! My partner is the European citizen and I just got the dependent visa. And I already traveled abroad twice by myself and I had no problem at all to come back! When someone gets the EEA Family Permit abroad, then this person needs to come fo...

Karlita, if you apply from Mexico with VAF2, you should get your visa in a matter of days! No worries!!!
It takes a long time mostly when people apply to the European Applications at Home Office (in country applications). So don´t worry, it will be fast! :-)

Then before sending it back to the Home Office, I decided to look for a job, register with NHS, open bank account, get a job and get the National Insurance Number, and only then s...

Advice needed over EEC1 application

Hi guys, first of all, thank you for all the support from this forum. It´s really brilliant. Now I would like to have some advice! :-) The thing is, once the officer from Home Office told me that I could write a letter to expedite the process faster, but I was not sure if it would work. I would like...

You are correct Kayalami! But the thing that sucks is that we don´t even have the possibility to pay!! I´d rather pay and get it fast. We only have the possibility to do it per post. It´s good that it´s for free, but it doesn´t help much. I really wanted to apply from my country of residence, which ...

Nice idea John! I called the Home Office yesterday and they told: "your application was with the caseworker who was going to decide, and it has moved already, so probably your application has been decided, but I cannot see the result. I don´t know if it was positive answer or not. But soon you will ...

Hi Sunny, I think that they have received a lot of applications in the last couple of weeks because the citizens from the new EU countries that have to register, now, after one year with the WRS are able to apply for under EEC1. So that mean that this month they start to have a big income of applica...

I have been waiting for 14 weeks already (exactly 69 working days), and have got no news so far.
I called the Home Office today and it´s still under consideration.

It´s easier if you call your credit card company and check what happened. They can explain to you clearly.

Pedro, you will be OK with your application! They received my application exactly 13 weeks ago, and no visa yet! When I call there they say that "it´s under consideration". I think we have to wait for the residence permit to work. And I guess it would be even difficult to find work without passport ...

Tonio,
I think you can apply under EEA law, if you prove that you have lived with her for 2 years.
The best thing you do is to call the Home Office. It´s better to confirm it with them, ok?
Talk to them before taking any decision. Get the official information!!
All the best,

Hi Tonio, have a look at EEC1 form. It´s telling clearly about "partners" too. In the last page it´s telling that you have to submit documents showing the cohabitation period for 2 years. OK, but now you are thinking that EEC1 may be wrong form, right? The thing is: YOU qualify for the EEC2 applicat...

John, he needs Indefinite Leave to Remain for sure!! I went to the British Consulate in Germany to apply for an Unmarried Partner visa of a german citizen. Do you guys know how long an application stay with the caseworkers? I applied under EEC1 form (I know, it´s a different kind of visa, but maybe it works similar). For 5 weeks they have just told AWAITING FOR CONSIDERATION. And 2 weeks ago they told it´s UNDER consideration, and they gave me a refere...

You have to apply on EEC1 form because your wife is french citizen. You can only use the FLR form if your wife has already Indefinite Leave to Remain.
On EEC1 form you can only apply per post.

Hi John, sorry for the mistake. I was living in Berlin, some time ago I moved to Glasgow and forgot to update my info. I applied under the EEC1 form. EEA Application

Hi,
I just applied on EEC1 form for a residence permit based on the relationship with german partner.
Does anyone how long it takes? They say up to 6 months but I would like to know the real time.
Could anyone who applied for this visa tell me your experience?
Thanks!
