Has his case been decided yet?

Normally they will send everything back once the case has been decided. And the letter will say that he has been approved.

They didn’t return the Life in The UK pass certificate from my partner either. That’s the only document they kept with themselves.

Doodlebug, We are in the same boat! Mine also went to the slow queue for some reason! By the way, I also live in the Hammersmith and Fulham area. Is it the case that our cases went to sort of a slow queue? We will never know! But interesting the fact that you are also from this area! My application ...

Hi Saurya, Yes, I provided his citizenship certificate, and also the civil partnership certificate. Hopefully it all goes well. But when calling them it's so frustrating - having waited almost half an year for the EEA4 decision, I can only think that I am the unlucky one! We will see how things go a...

I was thinking about that. Apply for your passport first.
Probably the delay/"future refusal" is because I applied just after my partner got his citizenship, without waiting for the british passport.

I'm starting to get depressed now... I sent my application on the 7th February and nothing yet... I know it's not a long time, but a lot of people receive their answer before that. Having waited more than half an year for EEA2 and then again for EEA4 I should get used to it, but I only get anxious -...

When did you send your application originally?

Are you able to report passport lost and get a new one from your country embassy?

Hi Camellia, No, as long as your husband has Permanent Residence and you are a British Citizen, then he will be able to apply. No need to wait 3 years. I sent his original certificate in the post, and he will wait to get it back before applying for the passport. Hopefully just a couple of weeks more!

Hi nax_72, Yes, you are corrected. I provided his original nationality certificate and the civil partnership certificate. So it proves then that I am his family member and that he is a British Citizen. I called the UKBA and they said that this is OK to do this way. I enquired specifically on sending...

SSEF,
Would it be possible for a person British subject who renounced the citizenship to apply for one again, say, after living in the UK for 6 years under work permit?
Would it be considered "resuming the citizenship"? Or would be OK as the person is not claiming citizenship under the same route?

Accession Agreement does not allow restrictions to continue for more than 7 years but maybe the UK will decide to break this agreement and continue WRS like it did last time.
The UK never broke any agreement previously as the rule is 7 years.

Deshk, Probably they did a decision to your application and they thought for some reason that the special delivery was not alright (ie: not paid enough for the weight), I don't know. Then they sent back to you so you can reuse it. Well, it would be better if you would receive back with your other do...
