Adult passport renewal: recent application experience

Hi everyone I thought to share my experience of applying for passport renewal online. I applied last Friday (21/05) and ordered a passport book and a passport card. It is a straightforward renewal. The passport came through the door today 26/05. Given that it fell on week-end, the service is excelle...

You are frustrated but the threshold for proving negligence is high. Try to re-apply and do lodge a complaint via: complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk complaintsreview@homeoffice.gov.uk Rein in emotions and outline the facts with the accent placed on the failings of the respective service providers. Applying for a passport online: advice is needed

There is a backlog of passport applications which is not going to be cleared in 8 weeks. I want to apply for a passport online, even before travelling to Ireland in 4 weeks. I do not envisage the passport arriving to my Irish address in those 4 weeks leaving me stranded abroad, no way they can be th...

Re: EUSS Family Permit - Home Office checks

Sorry, small addition. Here is a correct link to EEA Family Permit case worker guidance https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/598763/EEA-family-permit-for-ECOs-v2_0EXT.pdf And, indeed, on the page 4 there is a requirement for the process to ...

Re: EUSS Family Permit for my mother (non-EU) need advice

I have also complained to HO mid-March but received a reply from them just last week and the complaint was not upheld. The reason for not upholding my complaint was as follows: Our records show you were advised on 10 March that as a result of the significant increase in intake, customers may experi...

Re: EUSS Family Permit for my mother (non-EU) need advice

Didn't anyone else experience a delay and found ways to speed up the process e.g. complained to MP or anything else? We did. the MP was useful and their communication with a dedicated line with UKVI was more speedy. I highly recommend going through your MP. I contacted MP after about 6 weeks from b...

Applying for a passport under Covid restrictions

Hi everyone

My passport expires in October and I am mindful of renewing my passport well in advance. Have any of the forum members applied for renewal? Has there be any movement on the online-submitted applications?

Many thanks

Re: Leaving Ireland after naturalisation

Sending a form to INIS to confirm your intent to retain citizenship takes next to no time. Ask a local Catholic Church minister to witness the form and this wold suffice in terms of witnessing it, so no extra expenses. What's the problem?

Nonetheless, we did have a family related reason and I provided evidence of that. The visa was then issued and, credit where credit is due, it was issued quickly. Hi, could you elaborate the type of family-related reasons that may be of the same importance that did a trick in your case? We are also...

Re: Applying for settled status after 30/06/2021

I understand that this is a tricky subject (at least I was unable to find a direct answer) but received an unexpected call from the Resolution Centre today. In short, from what I was told, the application for a settlement scheme can be made after 30/06 if the person enters UK on foot of a valid EU s...

Applying for settled status after 31/06/2021

Hi Everyone, It has been a while since I was here last time. I have a question and please direct me if such answers were already provided. I were then to collect her card, join her and both of us will come back in the summer. I am not sure what problems there may be to collect my wife's card. Can she technic...
