Re: Immigration History question part D

1. What's the date of issue for my initial entry clearance? My Entry Clearance's "valid from" date is 08 Aug 2008. I know I received it in late June, and my biometrics appointment was 19 June 2008, but don't recall the exact date it was issued. If you don't know the exact date, mention 08 Aug 2008 ...

I guess the form says that you need to provide all addresses covering the last 2 yrs. It does not say that you need to provide only UK addresses.

June 11 to May 12 is the one to use
Please read OP's post carefully before posting. He is claiming a period from 20th June 2011 to 19th June 2012.

Most people get documents and BRP same day because they include special delivery envelopes. Even if you have not included the envelope, it is UKBA's responsibility to return the documents.

UKBA sends the documents using Royal mail and hence you might get your documents after you receive your BRP.

I agree to the above comments. I got my extension using the salary slips generated from the payroll system. There is no need of getting it stamped or signed.

** Those payslips don't have any space for the stamp anyway

If this period June 11 - June 12 shows only salaries for 11 months and you get the necessary points using salary for 11 months don't bother about claiming the 12th month.

I know your concern and probably this is your first extension. The original Tier 1 application (probably applied in 2009) clearly stated that you had to use cross in place of tick. The extension application however does not require the same. You need to tick the right option as clearly written on th...

Please don't write stories ... its difficult to read such long posts. Refer to the other threads to understand what type of cover letters you need. There is no set format, you can use any format you want. The documents look okay. I would have also included a letter from the main applicant stating th...

There is no contingency plan at UKBA. Normal postal applications were taking around 8 weeks from date of application if posted in Jan 2012. The same timeline has gone up and it could take up to 12 weeks from date of application just because there are a lot of applications pending at this point. Ther...

You don't need any proof to collect the BRP if you are collecting the letter in person. At least in my case my wife was able to collect the BRP's without any ID proof.

The timelines provided by UKBA are based on the time taken after providing Biometrics. Given the present state of things it might take longer to get the applications processed. No one can say what exactly is happening and how much time it would take. The delay could be due to more number of applicat...
