I would suggest you let the home office know on whatever email or number you find for them. And to be on the safe side, go to your local post office and get your mail redirected to your new address. Redirection will give you two benefits. 1. If somehow Home Office still sends your document back on y...

Yeah, getting the employment history letter from HMRC is a good substitute for any missing P60 and Home Office seems to be accepting it. Make sure to get it asap as it could take up to 4 weeks.

I got this from this forum: Q - How to count absences from UK? A - Absences are counted in "whole days". Day(s) of departure and arrival are not to be included when calculating (total) days of absence. Bank / public holidays and weekends are to be included in absences if one was absent from UK on su...

I think your ILR on the basis of Tier-1 will due before 10 years rule, so I would suggest to use the Tier-1 ILR option. There is nothing to lose, if for some reason your application gets refused, you can always apply for ILR on the basis of 10 years rule in couple of months time. (in that case your ...

I don’t think so 6 months of gap would cause any issues (it could if you were still on work permit). You need to claim earning points from 12 out of last 15 months, and they normally expect you to have the evidence of being economically active during the last 5 years in total. You can take the P60s ...

I am a very similar situation as you. I got HSMP in May 2007 and claimed 30 points for Bachelors Degree and got Tier-1 extension in Apr 2009 and claimed the same 30 points as I was relying on the same degree (didn’t even have to show the evidence as I had already provided it in the original HSMP app...

If you child is born in UK, then you don’t need to induce him in your ILR application. You can get your ILR and register your child as a British Citizen using MN1 Form. Most of the people on working visas (Work Permit, Tier-1, Tier-2 and HSMP) get ILR for themselves and their spouses and any childre...

I think it’s at the discretion of the case worker. And it would be nice to send the justifications for medical problem with your application (reports and hospital letters).

If you think you application is not straight forward, then apply via post.

I don’t think so it would cause any issues. You can hold the PR of both countries. Even if you had Australian Citizenship, you could still hold dual nationalities (as both UK & Australia allow dual citizenships).

It depends, I think India doesn’t allow dual citizenship yet (some countries do). You need to check it from Indian High Commission in London or from their website. If you have to surrender the Indian Citizenship for your child, you can get the Person of Indian Origin (PIO). Below is the link for mor...

This is a little bit tricky and I would suggest you take some professional advice too.

As a general rule, you are entitled to the same points as you have claimed in previous application (first grant of HSMP or Tier-1)

That’s true and the point based calculator on UKBA site can also be used at the time of ILR applications as since 6th of April 2011, ILR has become point based too (and there is no separate calculator for ILR applications at the moment).

Unless someone has got a new degree. For example if you had a Bachelors Degree at the time of your first application and then you did a part/full time Masters and you want to claim 35 points for Masters Degree. In this case the circumstances have changed and one has to provide the evidence again.
