That's true amehr. I would also say 3 months is quite normal for the applications from high risk countries.

Any application which is not straight forward should be taken to Croydon PEO as it has certain Senior Level Case Workers which other PEOs don't have. If I were you, I would take it to Croydon.

p2kin: I wish it was the case worker's laziness factor but after reading the experiences of different applicants, it looks like the applications from the nationals of high risk countries are consistently taking longer than other countries.

I also saw that news eagle11.

They reckon it will take them 37 years to clear this backlog of half a million applications.

You are right englishlife . I can assure you there is such thing as a list of high risk countries. But as I said before, most applications are straight forward (like in your case) and are eventually getting approved. It's just the extra time which is frustrating people. I have a feeling that on aver...

Thanks all for sharing your timelines and experiences on this post. At least now we know that the high risk countries' application are definitely taking longer than other countries. Looking at all of your dates of applications, I think on average Home Office is taking roughly 3 months to decide the ...

I agree with you hsmp2007Tier1.

As you said, it does suggest that UKBA must have a similar list.

Just found an interesting list on the internet. It's not 100% accurate as it also has India in it and we know that Indian Nationals are currently not facing any delays with their BC applications.

But it gives a fairly good idea of all other possible high risk countries.

That's a very good suggestion imran22 and I think I suggested it in one of the posts that we should add country of origin in the citizenship timeline.

HelenaTores : There could be other reasons for the delay. The reason I and scrapper mentioned the 'high risk country' factor is because 8 out of 10 delay cases we have seen on the forum are from the nationals of these countries. The most common reasons for the delay are: (if you are not from one of...

Yeah it's very interesting to know these facts. You will also find details of all other categories (work, visit, study, ILR etc) in it.

No problem scrapper . I and some more people (who are in a similar state) will update this post and also our main BC timeliness as soon as we get our approvals. As I mentioned earlier, there is nothing to worry about as most BC applications are straight forward, refusal rate is very low and they eve...

That's correct scrapper. As most applications are straight forward and the refusal rate of citizenship applications is only 4%, the applications from these countries' nationals eventually get approved but just take a long time (usually between 3-6 months).

Most of these applications are str...
