drpbalaji1960 : That's no problem. No you never need to apply for Biometric ILR card. Even if your current passport expires, you can carry your old passport with your new passport for the purpose of travel. Only the people who are issued ILRs on Biometric Cards would need to apply for new cards eve...

ca4fil: In that case you shouldn't worry much. I would suggest take your approval letter which you were given at the time of your last Tier-1 extension.

Also if you have a similar letter from your original Tier-1 G, I would advise take that letter with you as well.

newbie_2013 : Section 11 L actually applies to those people who are applying for ILR on the basis of HSMP+Tier-1. It also says in the form: Tier 1 (General) migrant If you are applying for indefinite leave to remain on completing 5 years’ continuous stay in the UK made up of leave as a Tier 1 (Gene...

ca4fil : You can take your Tier-1 approval letter with you to prove that you met the requirements for Tier-1. (or include it with the application if applying by post). I did the same. Went to the PEO and had my Tier-1 approval letter with me but was never asked to provide it. I can't think of any o...

drpbalaji1960 : The UK Border Agency (UKBA) only started issuing biometric residence permits for ILR from 29th Feb 2012 . You must have got your ILR before this date. There is no difference in ILR on a passport or in the form of Biometric Card. If your son was born after you got your ILR, you can a...

I wish it was in my hands madi, but this is realistically the time Home Office is taking to process the high risk countries' applications.

That's true amehr. I would also say 3 months is quite normal for the applications from high risk countries.

Any application which is not straight forward should be taken to Croydon PEO as it has certain Senior Level Case Workers which other PEOs don't have. If I were you, I would take it to Croydon.

p2kin: I wish it was the case worker's laziness factor but after reading the experiences of different applicants, it looks like the applications from the nationals of high risk countries are consistently taking longer than other countries.

You are right englishlife . I can assure you there is such thing as a list of high risk countries. But as I said before, most applications are straight forward (like in your case) and are eventually getting approved. It's just the extra time which is frustrating people. I have a feeling that on aver...

Just found an interesting list on the internet. It's not 100% accurate as it also has India in it and we know that Indian Nationals are currently not facing any delays with their BC applications.

But it gives a fairly good idea of all other possible high risk countries.

HelenaTores : There could be other reasons for the delay. The reason I and scrapper mentioned the 'high risk country' factor is because 8 out of 10 delay cases we have seen on the forum are from the nationals of these countries. The most common reasons for the delay are: (if you are not from one of...
