When to apply?

Hello, I got my Work Permit stamped on 7th Dec 2007 and flew to UK on 5th Jan 2008 (I have since switched to Tier 1, valid till 2014). I understand that I can apply for ILR 28 days before I complete 5 years in UK. I have some questions: 1. I read somewhere that if there is a gap between Visa date an...

Hi,

I am in a similar situation. My wife came to UK in Dec 2008 but was away for a year for child birth.

Would someone know if the applications by pmw456, vik_mad, apply4hsmp, kshahzad, lunatfr and maximux79 were successful?

Thanks.

I had discussed this with my accountant and got the following response:

"Unfortunately as this expense is not solely business related and as such it cannot be classed as a business expense."

Do let me know if some other accountant has a different thought.

Hi linkers,

If the dependents have already had their fingerprints taken as part of Tier 1 extension, will they still be required to appear in person (after 12th Feb 2012)?

Thanks.

UK Experience Assessment

Hi, My question is regarding points for UK Experience. Do I need to submit any evidence for this? I plan to show only 8 months earnings (pay slips and bank statements) as they would be sufficient to get me the required points. So how will I prove that I have worked for 12 months in the UK? Should I ...

Thanks Chikky.
I understand that there are no official rules that mandate a rise in income but based on earlier posts I have some doubts.

Could the Gurus/Moderators confirm.

Thanks.

Salary requirements

Hi, I am applying for an extension of Tier 1 visa and will be applying for ILR in 8 months time. My question is around the salary that I will have to show at the time of ILR application. 1) Will it have to be more than what I show for Tier 1 extension? In my case even though the earnings at the time...

Extension form for dependents

Hello, I am filling Tier 1 extension forms for my wife and daughter and have doubts regarding Section 5 (Consent to be given to UKBA before requests for verification are sent to the bank): 1. The maintenance funds that I am showing are in two different accounts (my and my wife's), so in my wife's fo...

Many thanks for your response Greenie.
Is there a website where I can see the wait time for appointment for biometrics?
Is there a thread where people discuss this?

Thanks.

Biometric and processing timelines

Hello, Will the tier 1 extension application be reviewed only after I complete biometrics? Or will they carry out a review of application in parallel. The reason I am asking this is because I have heard that it is very difficult to get appointment for biometrics at Croydon. So just wondering if this...

re: pyare_16

Hello,

It is mentioned above that an updated version of an old NARIC certificate is vailable for 14 pounds.
Could you please let me know where I can find more information about this.
I called NARIC and they said reissue will require full payment.

Thanks a lot.
