ILR under 10 yrs rule or Tier 1 Extension

I am currently on Tier 1 visa until the end of Oct12. I am also eligible to apply for ILR in Aug under 10 yrs Long Residency visa. My question is If I apply for ILR under 10 yrs Long Residency visa and God Firbids...something happens wrong and gets visa rejected, Would I be able to apply for my Tier...

Now you dont need to wait 6 months for a decision to be made on your long residence application. There is a super premium service which cost 6000 pounds plus the normal application fee and a decision is made within 24 hours. It’s very hard to tell what would happen in future. But based on the URL you have provided “Whenever it is introduced, however, it is almost guaranteed that there will be a transition period in which both tests will be valid”. So even if you pass it now there would be a reasonable transition period...
