Re: Surndering Indian passport bypost 89th day pls respond q

yes, the checklist is fine.
pls submit all pages of Indian passport including blank pages. usually photo copies are retained for reference and if you didn't submit copies of blank page it may also mean the missing page had some travel stamp and perhaps erroneously (or purposefully) excluded.

I don't want to add stress onto your situation but have you considered any alternate plan in case things get delayed?

The baby may arrive late
Passport application takes longer to be approved (there are two bank holidays in april)

Re: Infant born over seas requiring visa to enter UK?

I slightly edited my previous post whilst you were replying

a british citizen is of two types - citizenship by descent and citizenship otherwise by descent

the latter can transfer citizenship to their child born abroad.

Re: Will renouncing British citizenship cancel my ILR?

There are countries that don't recognise dual citizenship. Renouncing current nationality for gaining British citizenship is a big decision for many applicant and some of them may choose to renounce BC at a latter stage and regain their old nationality for family/career/political/emotional reasons. ...

Re: Will renouncing British citizenship cancel my ILR?

I have travelled out of UK on few occasions after my ceremony while I haven't yet applied for British passport. I entered on my old passport and ILR. You were allowed entry on the basis of British citizenship right of abode. The home office record showed the I/O that you were a BC even though you d...

Re: Will renouncing British citizenship cancel my ILR?

The answer may not be as simple as that. What exactly we mean by “cancellation” or “invalidation” of ILR? Do we mean physical cancellation (i.e. for ILR vignette endorsed with a stamp “cancelled without prejudice” or surrendering the BRP) or cancellation in HO internal records? If it’s the former, t...

Re: Infant born over seas requiring visa to enter UK?

A British citizen has right of abode to the UK. A passport or CoE is a travel document and also acts an evidence in support of the right of abode. Even in absence of a passport or travel document – a British citizen, once arrived at UK border, would be allowed entry provided the border officials are...

French embassy in india is saying that you can apply only for 3 months validity and if one wants to travel after 3 months of reaching uk then where do you have to apply. Did you speak with French embassy directly or to VFS agents? I am not sure if the "3 months validity" got lost in translation. Va...

Re: Leave to enter for/until with until crossed out meaning?

it's difficult to say whether you would be allowed entry - depends on your supporting paper work and I/Os discretion. If you have already been advised to apply for visa for future travel - especially if you plan to undertake similar short trips - then a visa is recommended. also see Frequency and du...

Re: OCI for new born baby

you haven't included documents in support of child's Indian origin proof

so include - your indian passport surrender certificate (as you haven't received OCI) OR OCI card (if you receive it before child's OCI application)
also include your wife's Indian passport and marriage certificate.
