Re: Dependant parents proof

Hi, I do not believe that the remittance proof is mandatory as this is not the only way to prove dependency. If you have been paying for her accommodation and the receipt clearly shows your name on it, I think that would suffice. I recently did the same for my father in law and his visa was approved...

Re: British Citizen's non EU spouse visa

Hi Azh, You shouldn't wait more than 8 weeks max to get a decision if your wife applies for a short visit visa (Type C) from Pakistan to join or accompany you. This has to be stated in the application and she is exempted from paying visa fee. Please go through the link below and you should get all t...

Re: non-EEA Dependant Parents - Accompany or Join type visa

My father in-law recently applied for Short Visit visa (Type C) as family member of EU citizen. Technically, documents showing/confirming relationship should be enough. I only had to submit my passport, marriage certificate and documents to confirm that I am resident in ROI. Processing time for visi...

Re: Anyone got TEMPORARY 6 months STAMP 4 recently??

I submitted everything that can prove our address except PRTB letter. Now I got a letter asking me to submit PRTB letter.[/quote] I got a reply from PRTB that it's possible to add my wife to the tenancy registration. I doubt if that can be completed within the 15 working days ultimatum, so I will be...

Re: Anyone got TEMPORARY 6 months STAMP 4 recently??

Guys, I went to the local Garda station with my wife this morning and the registration was super quick. Her fingerprint was taken and GNIB card will be ready for pick up next week. The immigration officer stamped her passport with APRIL 17 as the expiry date. I have also emailed PRTB to find out how...

Re: Anyone got TEMPORARY 6 months STAMP 4 recently??

Hi guys, Surprisingly, we received the original documents yesterday with letter for my wife to register at the local Garda station for temporary stamp 4. No such letter for my daughter who is almost 8 years and I'm wondering if kids don't get the temporary stamp 4. They also requested the following ...

Re: Anyone got TEMPORARY 6 months STAMP 4 recently??

Hi folks, I submitted EUFAM application for my wife and daughter on September 17 and it was received the following day. No acknowledgement whatsoever from INIS since then and we are still waiting to have the original documents back. I am hoping it doesn't get past 15/16 weeks as I have a planned tri...

@billsa, here is the contact number for the Migration Court, Gothenburg; +46 317327000. You need to make sure your appeal is lodged with the court before you contact them. Try and call the embassy first to give you an update on the appeal. I hope everything goes well for you. Cheers

Re: Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

Hi guys, Finally, we arrived in Sweden on Saturday after a successful appeal at the Migration Court in Sweden. We sent the appeal on Friday 20th March and fortunately, we got a favourable decision on the 27th of March and the application was sent back to the embassy to take corrective action. I kept...

Hi folks, This is the e-mail I got today from the Migration Court in Goteborg . Re: Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

Thanks a lot folks, I have the case in the hands of SOLVIT already but I am not sure they can perform any magic. I was told the case is lodged and I should wait for update. I am hoping the appeal judge will deem it fit to apply the EU Directive correctly. Otherwise, I am ready to pursue the case to ...

Thank you Treena. I am hoping that SOLVIT will be able to help. I have already mentioned to SOLVIT that I am willing to buy their return tickets immediately if it becomes necessary to aid their decision. I was waiting for them to get visas as most tickets are non refundable and it would cost me over...

Re: Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

Concerns about returning home after their stay in the Schengen territory is the only explicit reason given by the vis...

Sweden denied visa to non-EU family members.

Hello folks, I am a British citizen and my wife and daughter applied for Schengen visa at the Swedish embassy in Nigeria but they were denied. They had applied as family members of EU citizen. The reason for refusal was that the embassy could not be convinced that my family would return to Nigeria a...
