Re: PR application non-EEA spouse after Surinder Singh route

I was over 60 years old at the time of return and qualified for UK pension credit, so became economically inactive. My reading of the regulations at the time led me to believe my wife could be entitled to Permanent Residence immediately, so duly applied. That was refused but a 5 year Residence Card...

If the visa lasts for 2.5 years and the IHS is £200 per year, how do you calculate it should be £300?

Re: Flr FP rejected :( Any advice will be really appreciated

What were the exact reasons for the refusal? Can you write it out word for word as it is on the letter?

What nationality is your wife?

Did you apply for FLR(FP) parent route or partner route?

Re: Biometric Residence Card (PR) - RETURN

Why are you asking the same question again when you have already had an answer :?:

You do not have a Biometric Residence Permit.

The letter about returning BRP comes as standard in all of the packs. You don't need to worry about it.

Re: PR and Naturalization

In my understanding, the PR Card is just a confirmation of your PR status right ? ( You automatically acquire PR status after 5 years of residence in UK and proof of exercising treaty rights etc, etc. So lets say I did all that and I acquired my PR status on 09/2011. Absolutely correct. Do I have t...

https://www.gov.uk/join-family-in-uk/overview As noajthan points out above though, you have approximately 0% chance success with the ADR visa unless your mother has serious medical conditions for which care is unaffordable or unavailable in her home country. A refused ADR visa will also close the do...

Condor82 wrote:Is Not the PR card actual proof of residence in U.K.?
The card only confirms your status at the time of application, and it only proves residency for the 5 year PR qualifying period.

If OP had acquired PR some considerable time ago, the card is not evidence that he has continued to reside in UK.

Shall do. I have already made a pretty comprehensive list for my PR application, which I am keeping up to date, so will use that. I am sure the UKBA has enough resources to do the appropriate checks before giving me a passport :D Many thanks and happy holidays! UKBA has not existed for years (It's ...

Canadians are visa free into Schengen area countries anyway aren't they? No problem getting into Spain if so. Where are you travelling to? Getting into the UK shouldn't be too difficult, the problem will be getting on the plane at the other end.

You can always just apply for a family permit.

You can now apply for DCPR online. It's a new service recently introduced by government. https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/eea-pr It's a step by step thing and at the end, you print out the completed sections (could just be a few pages, certainly not all 85). There is also an EU passp...

Re: British Citizenship for Child born abroad Parents with P

As the child was born abroad, the registration as a British citizen will be done at discretion under section 3(1).

HO would usually expect BOTH parents to be settled (with PR or ILR) and at least one to be applying for British citizenship at the same time.
