Considering the benefits of having both American and British citizenship, I would estimate it to be at least 95%.

Re: Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

Unfortunately HO do not provide a detailed breakdown of processing time per nationality in their statistics, however you are welcome to look through the timeline threads. If you are interested, in 2015 there were approximately 85,000 grants of British citizenship by naturalisation and only 2,908 of ...

sure i agree with you, but all my concerns were due to brexit as its so much uncertainty anyhow what if i go for EEA2 again, Home Office wouldn't bother why i didn't apply for permanent residency ? and how early i can apply for EEA2 again,as normally they answer in 6 months time it took me 1 year t...

There is no appeal process, only reconsideration, and there is no set time for it. Reconsideration requests can take a year or more. See the timeline thread in this forum to get an idea.

Re: British Citizen marrying Portugues EU Citizen

the home Office told me that because my partner is a EU Citizen, he is supposedly allowed to remain for as long as he exercises his EU treaty rights. This is correct (at least until Brexit) and it is surprising and welcoming news that the Home Office helpline have actually given out factual informa...

Then, in five years if I want to apply for citizenship I know they will ask for three proofs of address for every year here, will they ask only for me or for him too? And what if I don't have proofs for him? It sounds like you are burying your head in the sand here and you don't quite understand th...

I think there may well be, through tier 1 accelerated ILR, but it requires a substantial amount of money and marriage to a British spouse.

Re: British citizen by descent

If it turns out that my grandma is indeed a British citizen by descent, would I then be eligible to apply for an Ancestry visa? I read that I need to be able "to prove that one of your grandparents was born in the UK" which is unfortunately not the case - would I still be eligible if all other crit...

Re: British citizen by descent

If your grandmothers parents were married when she was born in Australia, she is automatically a British citizen by descent. Unfortunately British citizenship can only pass down one generation to children born outside the UK, and only if the parent is a British citizen at the time of birth. Even if ...

Re: Travelling to Pakistan from UK first time after BC

That means when I arrive in UK there will be no stamp on my British passport when leaving the UK and when arriving back. How does that affect my travelling and where is the proof of leaving and at entry in UK. Shouldn't my British passport be stamped also when exiting Pakistan. Why does it matter? ...

What are your and your husband's nationalities? What makes you think the child has no nationality? As said above, it's extremely unlikely the child has been born stateless. He has most likely inherited the nationality of both parents. The child is entitled to register as a British citizen immediatel...

No. People who are applying for a registration certificate or residence card (at the start of their residence in the country), rather than a DCPR or PR card once they have completed 5 years.

Re: Travelling to Pakistan from UK first time after BC

I believe it would be something as follows (but to make your life easier, just show both at every step and let them figure it out) 1. Probably your Pakistani passport, as British citizens are not visa free to Pakistan 2. Doesn't matter 3. Home citizens line as it's your own country! 4. Pakistani 5. ...

The card itself lasts for 10 years, after which you have to renew it for £65 (or whatever the fee is then)

Because you only appear to have completed 30 months on your FLR(FP) visa. You can't combine it with the previous period of 30 months spent on your spouse visa. Oh so the whole 60months has to be on the FLR(FP). Thanks I thought they could be combined as I had seen people in other visa categories be...

You cannot apply for a British citizen passport if you are not a British citizen (although you can apply for citizenship and a passport at the same time). UK does not require biometric submission for passports. Citizenship application ...

Hi, I am a non eea citizen married with French citizen who live in UK. My RC is expired in 13 Jan 2017 and I had submit application for PR last week. My best advice is tell your friend's wife to apply for PR for her own good. I give you the link for the form if you need https://www.gov.uk/governmen...

As a non-EEA citizen without PR on EEA migration route, you probably have the fewest sponsorship rights of any category of people in the UK.

Do you have permanent residence? If not, on what basis have you and your sister remained in the UK? Her residence card would have become invalid as soon as you lost your EEA sponsor.
