Re: Change of Employer (Tier PSW to Tier 2)

I was filling the online application form and found that I need to complete 6 months under my new employer. Do you think I need to complete 6 months under my new employer Jodil The rules changed in April 2012 and the 6 month requirement has been removed then. If the online application form still qu...

according to the rules (see above) salaries can be pro-rated. When assigning the CoS your employer has to enter both the "total weekly hours of work" and your "gross salary including any allowances and guaranteed bonuses". The employer is responsible for the information they put in the CoS. All you ...

Re: Tier 2 Pro-rata - Urgent!!!

My job comes under 2121 - Civil Engineers Project management - Minimum salary: £35000 This number is given on the Occupational Code of Practice and it is based on 40-hour week. My annual salary is £328215 and I only work 37.5 hours a week. I was under the impression that we can pro-rata down from 4...

HR are pulling the wool over your eyes. If they are A-rated Tier 2 sponsors they can request an increase in their current allocation of CoSs from (presumably) zero to 1. This has nothing to do with the fact that they are also Tier 4 sponsors. Since your visa is expiring shortly urgent treatment shou...

[Apparently (and this is from the UKBA), my employer cannot issue a CoS unless the address is up to date. I find this difficult to believe and suggest you pursue it with HR. What happens when they go into the SMS? Provided they have an available T2G CoS allocation is the assignment of a CoS blocked...

if you change employment/sponsor now the period of grant will be 3 years (+14 days) from the work start date in the new CoS, or to the work end date in the new CoS if that is earlier. After 5 years as a T2G migrant, i.e. in 2015, you can apply for settlement if you are otherwise eligible.

check the T2 sponsor register to see if your sponsor has perhaps been downgraded (to B-rating), or their licence has been suspended: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/employersandsponsors/pointsbasedsystem/pbsregisterofsponsors The other explanation why they may not be able to ...

if your sponsor has an available T2G CoS allocation they can assign it to you immediately and you can then apply for leave to remain before your current leave expires on 1 November.

What I suggested would only work if you had already done the biometrics.

Otherwise you could apply for entry clearance from SA but for that you would need a new (restricted) CoS.

I have just had my tier 2 visa extended. Rule States: you are eligible to apply 3months before the current visa expires. That is the earliest you can apply. Latest you can apply is a month before your current Visa expires. This is not correct. You can apply any time up to the day preceding the expi...

Because you previously applied for switching from T4 to T2 in-country, what has been assigned to you by Durham was an unrestricted CoS. If you apply from abroad you will need a restricted CoS. For these there is a monthly allocation process, Durham HR will be familiar with it. If a T2 sponsor submit...

1). There is no ay of knowing, you may be lucky. The relevant words in Immigration Rule 245HDs are: "...the applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 months study in the UK towards a UK PhD" 2). Little point in appealing if the refusal is on the basis of the shortfall in the 12 month period. 3)....

Only you and your sponsor can decide on the basis of the T2 policy guidance (link above) whether it is a change of employment or not. If it is not, you just inform the HO of the change of your address, it doesn't require any approval. Your employer must of course also keep a record of your new addre...
