How long did your first application take until they send you a refusal? I would say an appeal is better as you(your lawyer) can explain everything face to face with the judge.

Hi all, I had received a reply email from HO(Wednesday 28/03/2012) confirming that my COA has despatched from there office but I'm still waiting for it!!!
Any idea how long it might take? as it has been over a week now.

Hi isw_london, so did you apply through a solicitor? if yes,,did you agree that your solicitor should get your posts on behalf you? My solicitor has applied for me, so I don't know she will get it or me,,,as the COA is already despatched.

Hi presid 007, I think you should at least give them 4 weeks(1 month), and don't try to ring them I recommend you to write to them(email) and they will respond to you to at same day(few hours). How long does it take after been despatched from their office? anyway mine would first go to solicitor on Monday hopefully and then she has to post it to me:(

Hi isw_london, if you want to contact HO,I recommend you not to call them but write to them(Email), they will reply to you in same day or the following day with the proper respond(update).
I emailed them on Wednesday at 10:01 and they replied same day at 16:59

Hi guys,,,have I got it right?!! you are saying that even without passport you can travel as long as you you hold RC or PR!!!
That is only a visa provided on A4 paper.
