One person who cannot pay for the ILR and leaves the country is a preferred scenario for ukba. I am sure they will not have a problem deporting this individual as its going for tax payers money. Also, sending a person back means one less potential new citizen.

Re: What if someone has NO MONEY to pay for ILR?

What if someone is totally skint, so is his/her sponsor, has no family, has no one to rely on to pay application fee for ILR before his visa runs out. What happens to such a person? Not sure where this question comes from? Also unfortunately there is no discretion on fees. If you don't have the fee...

Thank you for your replay. As I read the UKBA documents about days absence, I am still not sure how they count it. According to the document, "Only whole days absences are counted. Part day absences, for example, less than 24 hours duration are not counted." For instance, if I went out from the UK ...

Re: ILR Refusal Scenario

Hi Sohel, What makes you think that he will be able to apply for a Tier 1 extension? Particularly if his initial application gets refused after his current visa expires, wouldn't he be in a very compromised situation? They may just tell him to leave in two weeks and his appeal may also fail? . I am...

I would suggest keep looking for alternate appointment creating a new id. At the same time if your day approaches go for the PEO appointment and just say this is what happened and I was told by call centre to come and that you would consider. I am sure they will allow you.

I came to Uk on a student visa and was holding an HSMP approval letter. By the time I applied for the visa, HSMP category was finished and I got the Tier 1 General Visa on 5th January 2009. I got my visa again renewed on 13th January 2012 and is valid until 13th January 2014. You can apply 28 days ...

You have to spend continous 5 years lawfully in the UK - for WP /Tier 2 holder this starts from the first entry in the UK (Tier 1 applicants are elligible to take into account EC stamping date as long as they entered within 3 months of stamping). So in your case you complete 5 years on 18th May 201...
